He didn’t say she wasn’t credible, he said it was arguably hearsay & so not admissible. He also didn’t need her as a witness. The people testifying against him at Trump were his closest supporters.

HT2, Congressional GOP cares about this because liberals thought it was a humiliating moment for Trump. That kind of evidence is not something that would have helped convict Trump, as Smith said he wanted to condense the case. Creating moments eliding the partisan he/she-said moments would just play into Trump’s hands, even if it *were admissible.
