The Substance

Recommended Posts

My kids and I like horror movies.  My son and daughter both told me I needed to see The Substance.

I had seen the trailers and I was like meh, so I had no interest in seeing it in the theater.

Holy fock was I wrong.  Clear case of trailers not giving away too much while also not giving an indication of what the movie is about.  Damned if they do, damned if they don't.

All I can say is if you like body horror then go see it.

Sadly the scariest part is seeing how Demi Moore focked up her gorgeous face w plastic surgery and botox.

What is "body horror?"

Gross sh1t like The Fly

Edit: basically anything by David Cronenburg.  That type of weirdness.

Thanks for clearing that up. I was thinking Joy Behar might've been in it.

This movie had the best of both worlds.  Great nudity — really really great - and focked up .  Everyone wins!

Speaking to The Sunday Times, Margaret Qualley explained what Coralie Fargeat’s vision for Sue was in The Substance, saying her “vision of Sue was ’80s inspired, with butt and boobs, think Jessica Rabbit. Unfortunately there is no magic boob potion, so we had to glue those on,” the actress told the outlet. “Coralie found an incredible prosthetic team to endow me with the rack of a lifetime, just not my lifetime.”
