BufordT 405 Posted November 8 Javonte Williams has basically stunk it up all year with the exception of one game against Nolla'. There's quite a bit of chatter in Denver that rookie Audric Estime will be in line for more carries and if he avoids the fumbles (which is problem for him) could take over this backfield. Might be a good option for some us who are RB deficient. Just wish the remaining schedule was a bit easier.
polecatt 468 Posted November 8 I pick Javonte up this week to fill in for Kenneth Walker on bye, so my hopes for this week are he can catch 2-3 passes or so, get about 40-50 total yards, and find the end zone. I'll probably drop him after this week. I only want to keep two RBs on my roster, which are Walker and Kyren Williams, cemented into my two starting RB spots. They've both had bye after this week, in hopes both can stay healthy, I don't want to keep any RBs on my bench.
SaintsInDome2006 211 Posted November 9 Those are 2 risky RBs. I’d have at least one of Corum or Charb on the bench.

Too bad he didn’t mix in a TD but a very good game for Estime, 14 rush for 54 yards, against the best rush def in the league. He’ll be the ww pick up of the week

Ray_T 716 Posted November 12 This is good information. Estime was supposed to be a good talent but had trouble hanging onto the football(at least if my memory is correct and I'm too busy to look it up). if he has overcome this even to a point where his drop rate isnt offensive he could be given a shot. though it is also worth noting I think the Line had some injuries early in the year and didnt look great. but some of the injured guys are coming around now, so I wouldnt be surprised if the run game starts to look a bit better in the coming weeks. but only against weaker D lines. Against good Defensive fronts it will still be tough sledding as the O line is still not as good as it needs to be.

I’ll prob just drop Williams and take a chance.

I remember hearing lots of good things about him pre-draft and several saying he's good enough that he could take over once he got healthy. Well, he's healthy and had the majority of carries last week and looked explosive at times.
weepaws 2,986 Posted November 12 Feel bad for J Williams, it doesn’t look like he’s going to fully return to his potential imo.
