The balloon, we worked on identifying what it was, whose it was, where it originated from and we tracked it as it floated over land only to shoot it down over the ocean.  Made sense from a security standpoint.

Drones, there are hundreds or thousands of them flying over NJ along with other aircraft.  We can't identify all of them.  Many sightings are just aircraft.  It's legal to fly drones so there is no reason to shoot any of them down.  I believe you understand the risks to people, infrastructure and forest of shooting down drones over land which is why you suggested the ocean.  Well drones just don't drift into the ocean, they fly and are guided where to go, so to have the air force flying over the ocean just monitoring for drones that may or may not be a problem is asinine.  They would have to first identify each as a drone, then it's source, it's owner, it's intent, etc.  Otherwise you're just randomly shooting down anything that flies which is incredibly dangerous.  It sounds like a colossal waste of money and resources for no reason at all except for the eccentric whims of a dementia riddled 80 year old psychopath.

He then says "for some reason..." they don't want to tell us.  That's creating a conspiracy theory.  He does this all the time.
