The first part of the process is controlled by the political parties in each State and varies from State to State. Generally, the parties either nominate slates of potential electors at their State party conventions or they chose them by a vote of the party's central committee. OK, Let's go slow here, yes both sides have their own slate of electors, and then what happens is after the election, the electors are chosen for the candidate that won the state, and these electors are certified by the state on the Certificate of Ascertainment.  That is sent to DC along with the electors and they vote for the President.

What happened in 2020, is that in 7 states, this all worked as planned and the Biden electors were chosen and the certificates of ascertainment were sent to DC, as planned.

But the Trump people didn't like that, so they forged their own certificate of ascertainment saying that THEY were chosen by the state (which was fraud) and that THEY were going to vote for Trump.  And they hoped that Pence would go along with it.

They were busted and charged and many plead guilty so far.

So stop with the focking lies about how this happens every year, it doesn't and it's illegal.

Would you be good if Kamala and her electors said that they were chosen by the state, forged the certificate, and tried to vote for Kamala for Wisconsin?

Probably until the majority of Americans understand the truth of what happened, the lies that the GOP/Trump have been repeating and demand that it never happens again.  From RaiderHaters posts, it seems like it's going to take a long long time.

It’s no forgery if her electors signed their papers and mailed them out.  They are the democrat electors.  If there was a court challenge that held up Wisconsin. And it went through the process there would have to be both slates there. If only one was there that would be the only one acceptable
