Thanks for the post.  I distance myself from your last sentence, but I welcome conversation about the general sentiment.  The Bible characterizes God as being the epitome of love.  Yet, the punishment for falling short of his glory, which the Bible explicitly says is unattainable, is the most severe thing imaginable.  Hell is contrary to the character of God.

Why such disdain for Catholics?  Aren't most Christian religions just opposite sides of the same coin at their core?  Honestly, you come across somewhat arrogant and have some kind of inferiority complex when degrading Catholics like you do.

I'm not even sure he is part of a specific religion.  People like him are a big reason why I've distanced myself from religion.  They are the biggest hypocrites I've ever met.

My wife yesterday said that her boss told her she was raised Catholic, but in college tried some other churches including a non-denominational one.  She was turned off by it because of their disdain for Catholicism and, frankly, and other organized religion.  Not all such churches are cults, but a lot of them are, including @weepaws

Small churches need to make money, and they don't have the long history and support of a large, established worldwide organization.  So they teach their sheep that theirs is the only path to salvation, and that all other forms of Christianity are bad.  Can't have the sheep taking their money elsewhere, can they?

Weepaws thinks Jesus would approve of his behavior toward other expressions of Christianity.  He doesn't truly understand.  He can quote the Bible though, so he's got that going for him.

As a general rule of thumb I believe Christianity is Christianity.  The Catholics are different though.  Their rule that priests cannot marry has created a pedo factory that goes up to the highest ranks of the church.  It's one of the reasons the Greek Orthodox Church split from the Catholics a long time ago.  If you need to be Catholic join the Greek Orthodox Church.   They're almost exactly the same but with less pedophilia with your sermons.

If so they should discontinue the obviously failed algorithm that lead to it.  There are plenty of thoughtful Christians out there they could model a Bot after.  They should promote those, not this failed, defective effort that has gone nowhere.
