There were zero people charged with having a gun inside the Capitol and certainly none were fired which is in huge contrast to your typical blm riot.   I believe there was one person charged with having a gun but he did not enter the  Capitol building.   Oh please send me your dozen bs links.

How about just one?

Wouldn't want to overload your cognitive centers which are barely functioning as it is.

Thank you!!! That link verified everything I said.  There were exactly one person charge with having a gun on Capitol grounds and he did not enter the Capitol.  A few people claiming there were other arms present on the Capitol grounds does not mean crap.   Through the over 15,000 hours of video examined, not a single one shows any protestor possessing a firearm inside the Capitol building and certainly no one was brandishing a gun, as one would expect in an actual insurrection.  Fuk the morons who want to classify a flagpole as armed.  They are too fuking stupid.

FFS you cannot read.

However, court records show,  at least five cases where carrying or possessing a firearm was part of the indictment. A summary,  of the cases by the Justice Department as of Jan. 3 said 180 defendants were charged with entering a restricted area with a dangerous or deadly weapon, which includes firearms and other types of weapons.

The article also mentions someone using a tomahawk, as well as police riot shields. Which we all saw on video.

Keeping in mind this only counts those that were indicted. I'm sure there were dozens or even hundreds of guns in the crowd, thankfully those carrying them did so responsibly.

I did read the article. I think it makes a broad point and then offers examples that, while they don’t pertain to the current case, the broader point does.

But in the end does any of this matter? There is no set definition of an impeachable offense anyhow. One of the articles against Andrew Johnson, if I remember correctly, was for “lewd behavior.” Obviously it’s very subjective. Thats why I think you’re flawed for attempting to challenge me on this. We can agree to disagree on whether or not Trump should be impeached for these pardons (theoretically since we both know it will never happen) but there aren’t any set rules on this. It’s completely arbitrary and based on opinion.

Or, you know, you could just admit you are full of sh!t and so partisan that you think a President exercising a Constitutionally granted right, and not for personal gain for to cover up a crime or treason, is an impeachable offense.  Me, I am going to stick to the narrative that a President exercising a clearly enumerated Constitutional right even if uncautiously, is not remotely, and never will be remotely, considered an impeachable offcense by any but frankly the insane.

Lots of stories coming out now about Capitol Police and their family members being harassed, swatted, had feces thrown at name etc since Jan 6.  Now these terrorists are on the streets and it will only get worse.  Geek club magas support this.

Well no I won’t admit to that. Lol

FTR a lot of people I’ve heard on the radio today, including some legal experts share my current insanity: they also think Trump should be impeached for this. Mostly progressive of course…

They can add it to the huge pile of fake things that only the rabid frothing at the mouth left think he should be impeached or convicted or sued for.

I don’t get it Voltaire. Why are you willing to defend this? Maybe it’s not an impeachable offense. But do you really like the fact that some of these dudes who viciously attacked police officers are getting off free here?

Jan 6th was a protest that got a little out of hand and was less peaceful than it should have been. It was a three hour political hiccup - not an insurrection. It does meet the bare minimum threshold for being a riot since a few doors/locks were broken, Congressional offices entered, and a few incidents of scuffing with police occurred. Overall it was a minor and hyped-up anthill, amplified by Trump's enemies to make it seem significant.

What happened to these people was the real crime and now that has been rectified. For the very worst of the worst offenders, the ones who laid hands on police, four years was enough punishment.

Well, a simple google search will tell you they were both in jail. So, now that that’s settled, I guess we can say that no one that assaulted a cop or was even accused of it got off free. Stop being so ill informed BOYO.

You know why they were in jail?  Because they were fugitives and were captured. They were waiting for their trial in jail when trump freed them.  Did maybe a year.

There are others boyo.

Federal prosecutors are weighing charging as many as 200 more people for their involvement in the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol — including 60 suspected of assaulting or impeding police officers during the riot that nearly derailed the transfer of power from Donald Trump to Joe Biden.
