Republicans introduce amendment so trump can get third term

Here is my back of the napkin political analysis on this---and other Trump related things.

For the past 9 years now, the democrat party has had a singular focus--GET TRUMP...It's all they think about, all they do, and all they put effort into.  Meanwhile, their party is fractured and really lacking any message to the American people.  They tried the Anti Trump message, only to see him get elected again. And why?  While they spent all their time and energy into the anti Trump antics, they failed to get their party structured.  Thus we got a feeble Biden, and then, Kamala....certainly on the list of the worst Presidential candidates in American history.

So now, Trump and the republicans are continuing to do these things, because they know the dems will laser focus in on anything he does (east wing anyone) and fail to look within and figure out what they can do with their party to make it more appealing to the American voter.   The republicans are causing the dems to take their eye off the ball, again.

Right now the best they can offer for 2028 is either Kamala again( HA HA HA ) Or Gavin.   Gag.

Mayor Pete is sitting on the poll right now.

Classic whataboutism.

The question is who is MAGA lining up next. The thread is about Donny Boy seeking, with MAGA's approval, a third term. All MAGAs when confronted with this fact say: "he's not running again liberalz!". Ok. So who are you running next? Not who are the Democrats running next. Names. JD Vance? Marco Rubio? Who. Take your time.

Who cares? How about that?

I don’t know if anyone brought this up, but:

To pass an amendment to the U.S. Constitution, there are two major steps  proposal and ratification — each with specific requirements:

Step 1: Proposal

An amendment can be proposed in one of two ways:

1. By Congress:

Requires a two-thirds (⅔) vote in both the House of Representatives and the Senate.

This is the only method ever used so far for all 27 amendments.

2. By a National Constitutional Convention:

Called by two-thirds (⅔) of state legislatures(currently 34 out of 50 states).

This method has never been used in U.S. history.

Step 2: Ratification

Once proposed, the amendment must be ratified (approved) by the states. This can happen in one of two ways:

1. By State Legislatures:

Three-fourths (¾) of state legislatures must approve (currently 38 of 50 states).

2. By State Conventions:

Three-fourths (¾) of special state conventions must approve.

This method has been used only once — for the 21st Amendment, which repealed Prohibition.

Assuming Trump doesn’t run again, it’s going to be Vance, I don’t think this is a question.

If so AOC will be our next President.

But it won’t be her. The Democratic nominating process is, as ever, ultimately controlled by centrist and socially conservative blacks in southern primaries who will never vote for a socialist candidate. Look for it to be Newsom or whatever other establishment candidate can gather the support of black churchgoing women in South Carolina. They decide this thing.

C’mon AOC is not qualified and won’t get many independents to vote for her.  If the Dems want to win they need someone that is or was a governor from a red or swing state - Shapiro, Beshear & Cooper would be my top 3

The people didn't even get to choose the Democrat candidate last election.  You should STFU and sit this one out if you think AOC would beat Vance.  That's as dumb as most of your predictions.

I do believe y’all are forgetting the elephantiasis in the room - Junior.

Assuming we have free & fair elections in 2026, I think Newsome gets the Dem nomination.

Vance has the Hillary/Harris problem. He’s won one election in what is now a deep red state, just barely btw, & the administration has been jamming him down the public throat everywhere. And all Junior has to do is wave the bloody flag.
