Elon musk access to the treasury

Be honest Team MAGA…you have to be a little concerned or at least questioning how much power this dude has been given.

Some. Fair enough. But much less than you think because I trust him. Musk has already put the good of humanity ahead of his personal financial interest by overpaying steeply for Twitter.  Time after time he's shown that his heart is in the right place. Now he's donating his time and genius to giving the federal government the scrubbing it has long needed.

I just say thank you and get out of the way. I don't rightly know how the sausage is being made but I trust the chef. I would prefer to entrust the oversight of any agency that deals with Musk personally to be reviewed by Vivek Ramaswamy instead but he got squeezed out early.

He's promised to find lots of money to be saved. I hope so. We'll see. I trust that we'll be better on the back end of this than we went going in.

We wanted the swamp drained in Trump's first term, it didn't happen and they proved entrenched with their own agenda. Eighty years of sclerotic bureaucracy has to be unclogged. Sh*ts not going to fix itself.

Musk did not overpay for Twitter for the good of humanity. It’s not improved. Same shet different flavor at best.

What I would ask is people be critical of this very weird dude go has been given the keys.

I wouldn't want him naming my kids. He's the only person that has ever come along and pushed Frank Zappa into second from last.

Better to have Musk out in the open pulling strings than the leftist losers form the Obama years and neo cons that won’t go away and hid behind two of the dumbest people ever elected to office in Biden and his DEI sidekick Harris.

I will die in a hotel suite with a hooker and an 8-ball. Also no longer chunky. Got a gym membership a long time ago. You would know this if we hadn’t kicked your sorry ass out.

He’s only out in the open doing it because the fake news is reporting about it.

I am nervous this with one guy and a group of little kids in this DOGE thing doing shet on the fly with no oversight. Everything he does should be highly scrutinized.

It’s out in the open man. They can’t wait to broadcast what they are doing. And you do know that 19 year olds having top secret security clearances is nothing new, right?

What powers this spaz is given and what moves he makes should all be scrutinized is my point. I don’t see this being controversial.

Either do I. What makes you think he’s not being scrutinized? What is your fear about what he would do? I’m just trying to understand the concern. It’s not like he can take or spend the money.

You are defending USAID?    That is how Deep State NGOs launder money to terrorist groups, under the guise of "aid."  Good riddance.

You have to be a hayseed not to understand this. It’s a CIA operation

Well there you go we both agree.

He did just shut down this agency USAID, pretty obvious he told Don about South Africa aide, his team has been given this access to government employees private data. These are just some  headlines in a few days.

I‘m sure there is government waste but government by design is also meant to be somewhat cumbersome and slower moving with safeties and checks. I certainly don’t trust this dude more than anyone else.

Unpossible.  Finance exec TrailGuy told me I was crazy.  Used 3, maybe even 4 laugh emojis.  That's a serious beatdown from a high level guy like that.  :(

I’d be concerned if he were the least bit interested in this being something permanent.  This is a hit and run look at me situation.  But that doesn’t mean the Apple cart isn’t being upset and then dismantled. Finally.

I do agree he will be gone by this time next year. But we also don’t know this.

I would also be surprised if he doesn’t get busted doing some illegal shet.

I don’t think he’s stealing or bribing, or committing espionage. I think he’s a dork that wants to be idolized. But if he gets the job done I’m good with it. And he seems to like grown women so I don’t know what he would be doing illegal. He has no incentive.

It brings up a good point. They'll make up some sh*t. He and his team could use some Biden-esque blanket pardons when this is done.

If you’re more angry that a handful of 22 year old software engineers are writing code to uncover fraudulent government spending than at the people who are fraudulently spending your hard earned taxes, it’s time to do some soul searching.

Well as long as you don't think so. 🤣🤣🤣

You might be fine with a foreign national who is in bed with China and can't get a US security clearance having sensitive treasury and payment data on every American downloaded to his personal storage devices.  Most of us aren't.

He’s not a serious person. Anyone cheering this on isn’t. Just a bunch of mid guys who think all of this will somehow magically make their lives better, because they couldn’t get ahead.

In your feeble mind, how much of the 6.75 trillion in Federal spending last year was fraud, abuse and wasteful spending? Give me your best estimate in a round number percentage.
