Prosecuting people for hiring women and minorities is against civil rights? 🤣

ah, the funny argument that putting a stop to DEI practices means NOT hiring women and minorities  when in actuality it means putting a stop to hiring less or underqualified women and minorities in order to fill a quota.  We should all want the best candidates to be hired for jobs. If that is a black woman, it's a black woman. If it's a white man, it's a white man. Making sure everyone has equal opportunities... getting the interviews... getting the proper training for advancement etc. is commendable.  Hiring to fill a quota is not.

If DEI isn’t happening, how did all the those. Candidates still get high profile jobs even though they plagiarized their work? Why was that overlooked?

I don't work for the government, rube. Are you cool with cancer R&D going away on a large scale because of this? The research on the use of AI for complicated diagnoses?

Is that still a concern, I thought Joe fixed the cancer problem.

Then why would this matter?  Trump is removing the Biden Administration DEI initiatives.  If Minnesota wasn't using them, then it's a non-issue.  Seems like you're crying at the sky to just... well, cry at the sky.

I will try this one more time. I cannot speak for employers other than the ones I have had. We have a robust DEI program that expands the hiring pool by recruiting minorities to apply for jobs. This gives us more people from which to choose the best hire. If my HR department has 20 applicants to fill a position instead of 10, that's a win. More potentially qualified candidates from which to choose.

If Trump declares DEI initiatives prosecution-worthy and withholds federal money from companies practicing it, my employer stands to be in big trouble. For doing the right thing; giving underserved minorities a chance to compete on an even playing field. They may not get hired, since there are NO QUOTAS, but at least they have a shot.
