More female and less white’: Missouri AG accuses Starbucks of violating anti-discrimination laws

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KTVI) – Missouri Attorney General Andrew Bailey (R) has filed a lawsuit against Starbucks, claiming the international coffee chain has violated federal and state anti-discrimination laws.

In a lawsuit formally filed Tuesday, Bailey claims the company engaged in race-and-sex-based hiring practices, unlawfully segregated employees and offered certain training and employment benefits exclusively to select groups.

He further alleges that initiatives designed to prioritize diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) ultimately amount to unlawful discrimination.

I tend to agree with you.  Here is the rub.  Almost every legal maneuver of late seems like trite nonsense, to include (and perhaps especially) those lobbed at Trump.

Your position on the validity of legal action seems to ebb ad flow based on the political currency. But, since it arises that, if only temporarily due to your political bias, we find ourselves in cadence on the topic.....I like to show where we share agreement.

I don’t think my position on legal actions ebb and flow at all. I challenge you to back up this claim. I believe I’ve been very consistent on this.

I get that, I accept that you do not see the disparity, that is why I am not applying intent.....just noting how your perception of legal matters tends to depend on the politics in play Not a cognitive act so much as a muscle memory response.

Whether we agree on a given point will likely rely on th situation meeting your political stances. In this case, the politics have your position in concert with my own.

Lol It has nothing to do with politics and it is not muscle memory. I think Trump was guilty of the crimes he was indicted for, not because I disagree with his politics but because I think he committed the crimes.

I see it differently.  But no matter, here we are, agreeing.   Later, should there be some other legal nonsense thrown at Trump, we likely disagree....and have to await some other legal action that is also wrong, but hits the right marks for you politically.  Having common ground of any kind is a pretty cool thing in our society today.

Actually, it means it's not debatable. The VAST majority of scientists do not believe in the trans pseudo-science.  Any scientist who does is not, in fact, an actual scientist then.

I’m not trying to force anyone to believe in anything. You want to believe that trans is a disease, have at it. I know what 99% of the respected scientists say; you want to ignore them up to you. 
 

I AM trying to get you and others to leave these people alone. Let them have dignity and respect. Don’t discriminate against them, allow them to join the military and have the same rights as anyone else. What Trump is doing is wrong.
