LIBERATION DAY: USA and China agree to a 90 day pause on most new tariffs

Recommended Posts

Trump has been consistently anti-union dating back to his first term. Anybody who wants to make $15/hour with no benefits can do it tomorrow. We need jobs that pay a living wage not more widget factories.

You just want to get handed union wages? If you're qualified you don't need the union they need you.

We’re talking low skilled workers, like the kind of people who’d fill the manufacturing jobs Trump says he wants to bring back. He just doesn’t want them to have collective bargaining, benefits or a living wage.

Its all moot though because his tariff war had nothing to do with jobs anyway.

CNN lied all along and even admitted It today.

Beijing’s upbeat and positive tone stands in stark contrast to its previous statements about the trade conflict with the US. For weeks, Chinese officials had projected a defiant position, demanding the US remove all tariffs on China before agreeing to come to the negotiation table.

The substantial, if temporary, breakthrough was unexpected. Just last week, Bessent sought to manage expectations by suggesting that his goal for the talks was “de-escalation” of tension and not “a big trade deal,” as the US and China had been at a virtual stalemate since Trump imposed his tariff policy. -CNN 🏆

Who the hell can afford to pay over $15 an hour and full benefits to someone who's only qualified to mop a floor?

Have you ever run a business???

My kid makes $15/hr scooping ice cream, and he's interviewing for higher paying jobs right now.

If all you want is my attention send a PM next time Kuntface. Max-O and I were having a respectful conversation without your help.

Do want a $30 hamburger from McDonald's? Do you have any idea how business works???

If you're giving a floor mopper $15 and hour and FULL benefits then the guy flipping burgers deserves $25 an hour, the cashier deserves $35 an hour, the assistant manager 125k a year and the store manager $175,000 a year. Crap runs downhill

There goes your $7 meal.

Why bring back manufacturing jobs if they’re not going to pay a living wage? I asked that question a while ago.

Tarriffs can’t fix this. The genie is out of the bottle, the toothpaste out of the tube, what have you.

It’s not a problem it’s the natural progression of capitalism.

Your made up number turns out to be right at poverty level for a family of 4 full time.   Get two of those jobs and it's a living wage.

We probably could boost manufacturing with tariffs, but only if they’re long-term and US consumers commit to paying more for US made products basically forever.

Obviously Don wasn’t making that argument on the campaign trail. 😂

Nothing is stopping people from paying more now for American Made stuff. They don’t choose to by and large because they want better prices. Not to mention the free market pushes products to be better.

Retards think factories only employ people assembling the products and there are no sales/marketing/finance/HR/procurement/logistics and a number of other higher paying positions. They all just put together widgets.

So basically China conceded nothing and Trump blinked and pussed out. China made him its prison gal, just like Putin is doing. What a joke.

Retards think a few months of tariffs is going to lead to a US manufacturing boom … AND lower prices for everyone! 😂

WSJ ED Board just lashing Trump. Hilarious. Let's see if Donny can figure this out:

  • Implement tariffs and double and triple down ===>>> market go down, baaaaaaad.
  • Roll back tariffs and slink back quietly ===>>> market go up, gooooodddd.
