As a North Carolina resident it has been a dry and windy past week or so which is ripe for wildfire. I have no doubt any fires (probably man made) will be contained with minimal death and damage which happens from time to time.  Despite this here thread and all the inequitable comparisons to California, this won’t be a story three days from now.  Not because a person lost a life or a home was engulfed.  This story will lose anti Trump political capital and will then vanish like a fart in the wind.

LA and the surrounding area has been plagued by wildfires for years. Totally different situation.  Stand down.
