Zelenskyy is back for Sloppy Seconds, says he will work under Trump’s leadership as he proposes Ukraine peace plan

“At least he’s trying to do something” is just not going to be a compelling argument for most people. It wasn’t for Biden and it won’t be for Trump. Especially in this case because overall he’s making it worse.

He's not just trying, he is taking action.  Under Biden all we were doing was arming Ukraine at our expense with  no end in sight.  We both know defeating Russia outright isn't a possibility.  I think people see that he's making a change to end this conflict if he can.  It's way more than we were doing.  What we were doing had no end game.

How did he make it worse?  Zelenski made it crystal clear, as long as the US kept sending billions he was not going to negotiate with Russia.  You could not make it any worse than that.  We were in an endless loop of dumping money and the war continues.

Hey retard, did you actually watch it????

Zelenski sent the whole thing off the rails when he made it very clear he had zero interest in a ceasefire or a peace agreement.  He only want more billions.   That is when JD jumped on him.

He was pointing out that Russia doesn’t give a shet about any deal they make and have broken them repeatedly.

Agree.  Not sure what Tim is babbling about.  But I rarely understand his babbling.

What exactly did Biden do?  Other than just sending billions every so often and watching people get killed?  He did nothing.  The war started under his watch.  How long was he going to just keep funding a meat grind?

First time since it has started. Focking liberals have been destructive and tiring.

The conflict can't end without starting the process, which Trump has done.  The war is grinding in terms of both costs and lives.  A war that only Russia can win long term by throwing endless bodies at it.

Because it’s not up to Zelensky to end this war. It’s up to Putin to call it off. And the way to get him to do that is to keep supporting Ukraine, unequivocally, until the stalemate is simply too costly for Russia to maintain.
Which, IMO, wouldn’t have taken too long. I firmly believe that if Kamala Harris had won we would already have seen Putin seeking a way out and we might have an honorable peace by now.

We had slowly (some may say too slowly) tested redlines that Putin was placing. Ukraine was limited in what they could do but had worked up to attacking inside Russia with our weapons. At this point they now have some leverage.

A deal maker could propose, Russia gets land, Ukraine is in NATO. This shet doesn’t happen again Ukraine.

Exactly.  By pointing that out he showed that he had no interest in any discussions.   Trump had to point out to the dipshit he was not in position to play hardball with our hundreds of billions.   He has to trust the US to make Russia live up to the agreement.

Then why is he now saying what strong leadership Trump has an all of a sudden change his tune days later?  Europe said they had his back you know.  If he was so hell bent on his view of thr deal why did he just seemingly reverse course?

You understand this war started under Biden's WH right?  You do understand Russia took Crimea during thr Obama years, right?  You do understand this correct?

Putin is willing to come to the table, it was Zelenski who was refusing before the process even begun.

Sad.

He is willing to sign this mineral deal. He was going to do it that day. Trump got pissy and tossed him out. Big alpha and all! Put on a show.

I read it, I think it's wishful thinking at best.  There's no reason to think Putin would stop of his own accord.  He's never governed and certainly hasn't stayed in power by backing down.  He went on for years under Biden/Harris but now magically would be the time he would stop?  I don't buy it.

We will see what the deal is.  I doubt Putin could survive long term in Russia if he agreed to the Ukraine in NATO.  I have zero doubt he's willing to sacrifice millions of lives to stay in power.  But Ukraine in NATO is not in the cards, it wouldn't have been under Harris either.  That deal just isn't there to be made because Putin's a creature of survival as well.

He is not just stopping.  There will have to be some compromise on the border and a commitment front the Nato not to expand into the Ukraine.  Thst is all it takes.

When does us not doing what Putin says starts WW3?

He said no aide, we gave aide. He said no expansion of NATO, we added Finland and Sweden. He said no attacks inside our borders, we allowed them to attack inside Russia.

Give him the land he stole. But that’s the deal for him. He doesn’t dictate Ukraine’s future, we do.

The people of Ukraine haven't said that.  Ukraine has canceled elections and are forcing people into the front lines.   This war is a proxy war for the deep state to line their pockets.

By putting US interest and people inside of Ukraine, it entangles us into war moreso than just our arms.

The history of Russia tells us when weakness is shown, a replacement comes.  It's not in his background or what he's ever been.
