Dept of Education going BYE BYE!

Recommended Posts

Don't let the door hit you in the arse!

We were 1st in the world in Education before Jimmy Peanut created the Dept of Ed and now we are 40th despite spending the most $$$$

Libtards have used the Dept of Education as Indoctrination Centers to destroy the minds of our children instead of teaching how to read, write and do math.

TRUMP WINNING!

AMERICANS WINNING!

We're not ranked 40th in education, that's a lie.  Depends on the criteria you're using but we're usually #1 but no less than 18.

Regardless, removing education funding and initiatives will not make it better.

How is the funding being removed ? You just sending funds to DC so they can send them back to you but tell your what to do. The teachers union are to blame for this

You all realize that the libs believe that eliminating the department of education means that there will be no more funding for schools right?  Or somehow less?

What they are basing this n I don't know...But again....feelings and off the cuff reactions

Your whole life is a lie!

Education is going back to the States and local school districts!

No more DRAG QUEENS telling kids they are gay while exposing their gentials during story book hour.

No more tampons in 4th grade boys bathrooms!

No more teaching kids that America is evil and racist!

No more LBGQT++++++++ indoctrination!

WINNING X INFINITY! :pointstosky::banana::first:

I believe that's what they equate it with.

He's sending it back to the states, from what I am reading.

Instead of telling us what you think libs believe, why don't you tell us what conservatives think how eliminintating the Dept. of Education will improve education in this country. And maybe tell us what the conservatives think the DoE does.  Thanks

Sending what back to the states? The states and local boards are already in charge of curriculum, the DoE doesn't set that.

I love it when people here tell me what I believe or don't believe.

I merely made a statement about what I read, nothing more, no opinion at all of what I think of what he's doing/done.

The only thing I think I misunderstood were the cuts to VA, and I am against those.

Again, merely stating what I read in an article.

So you believe the libs think it means that funding for education will be eliminated, and all you know is he's sending "it" back to the states, but don't know what it is.

Am I in the  upside down?

Jeezus.

He's downsizing, from what I read. He wants the states to take more responsibility. Several Pres before him have tried to do the same thing, however it takes Congress to make it happen. No one seemed to care when others tried it.

I don't think he's going to be able to make it happen. And I don't think it will "improve education" if it's eliminated - but to be eliminated it takes Congress.

Like a lot of the crap he's trying to do...he's going to be fought against and rightfully so.

I dont have the first idea what the DOE does.   And if you think I am wrong for saying libs believe it will end funding, or reduce it, read earlier when Ron Artest said that exact thing

Yes, there would be less if what I got from a Google search is accurate:

The U.S. Department of Education is involved in school funding. It provides federal funds and programs for schools at all levels, from early childhood through postsecondary education. The department also oversees federal student aid and ensures that schools comply with federal laws.

See Honcho?  So I appear to be right when I said the libs believe it will reduce funding.  Win for me

Well, if  the DOE "provides federal funds and programs for schools at all levels" then if it were eliminated how would that not reduce funding?

What a clown.  How does the DOE provide funding? That’s impossible.

And by "Google search" he means he ran to his latest far left sources and only his far left sources to confirm his bias.  And lo and behold, they told him it was going to end funding for education. 😂

One of the largest expenditures for the DOE is helping students afford college. Eliminating this supports the republican belief that college is useless.

Appears he struggles with google searches since he couldn't find the NBC article.

libtards think that spending taxes to send it to washington for them to take their administration cuts then send it back to the states is the right way

how about this, if I pay taxes in california for schools it ALL goes to the California fund

its really simple

I don't know if it's true, but I did say liberals believe it.  I think that's been proven

The federal govt only funds about 15% of funding for k-12 schools.  85% of school funding comes from state or local taxes.  So it's already happening.

Besides, eliminating the DOE is not going to lower anyone's taxes.  It's not like we're all gonna get a tax cut.  The Federal govt is gonna take the same amount of money and just use the DOE money for something else.

What are they going to use it for? You seem to know all that is going to happen. Go ahead and educate all of those on this site.

So I understand.   Are you saying of the 15% being currently sent to the feds---none of it will go to the states?  The feds will just keep it all and cut funding to schools by 15%?

Um...why wouldn't liberals believe it, if funding to schools from the DOE has been documented (which I'm sure it has, unless what we have been told is some sort of fiction). So, ending the DOE would logically reduce funding to schools that the DOE provides, no?

Not necessarily.   Why can't the feds have that $$ go directly to the states and bypass the feds and the salaries and bureaucracy that comes with another department?
