posty 2,609 Posted March 25 Awful news for her and the Lady Trojans…. Was looking forward to the regional finals of her against Paige (provided they won their Sweet 16 games)…. Hopefully she will have a speedy recovery but will probably miss next season… https://www.espn.com/womens-college-basketball/story/_/id/44393492/usc-trojans-star-juju-watkins-carried-injury-vs-mississippi-state-women-ncaa-tournament

Hawkeye21 2,380 Posted March 25 I hate when athletes have injuries like this. They work so hard to be where they are and something like that takes them out for a year, possibly ending their careers. This reminds of how incredible Caitlin Clark's careers has been so far. She has played at an elite level and never missed a game yet.

Hopefully she will be able to make it back at her pre-injury strength… As for Caitlin, she has been fortunate so far, especially as much as she got fouled this past season…

Honestly, in some ways, the women's game is better than the men's game at the collegiate level. The ball movement is generally better for sure. Men's college basketball has become one of two things: People driving wildly to the basket and shooting 3-pointers. That's about it. About the only assists that occur are when someone drives and then kicks it back out for a 3-point shooter to catch and shoot. I just like good basketball. Don't really care who is playing it. As an Oklahoma resident, I love the way the Thunder play basketball, but there's a bias there, so it may not be quite as beautiful as it looks to me...
