WNBA Team Holds Moment Of Silence For George Floyd As League's Social Justice Insufferability Continues

We literally see him murdered on video by Chauvin over a period of 9 minutes. That makes him a sympathetic victim irrespective of his past criminal record (which is irrelevant to his murder). The idea that this the person who was essentially executed in public, should not be allowed a moment of silence at a sports event is appalling to me.

You are making my point for me.  The left has latched on to him and they can't let it go, somehow they've chosen him over victims who happen to have smaller rap sheets, or no rap sheets at all.  The obsession with him by the left is a political loser, especially when the connotation now with his name is the riots from 2020.

Walter Scott’s killing was also caught on tape and we didn’t hear much about it. But that was after Ferguson and before the 2016 election during primary season so the DNC didn’t release their hounds.  Jim Clyburn saw to that. Scott was an actual victim.

He wasn't really chosen (you make it sound a vote was taken by the left). It was a matter of public outrage on both sides of the political spectrum. This was the 5 year anniversary of his death at the hands of Chauvin, which is the reason for the renewed media coverage.

He has gotten the attention over other victims with smaller rap sheets or no rap sheets at all because his brutal murder by Chauvin was captured on video and got at least 10 million views (probably ten times that). Everyone saw what is essentially a public execution of an unarmed man. That image (with Chauvin's boot on his neck for 8/12 minutes) is an image no can forget who has seen it. The video is what convicted Chauvin of murder. This is what separates it from the 100's of other murders that happen every day and maybe the dozen each year that are done by LEOs.

No, that is not what I was saying, that is a mischaracterization of what I did say, aka Straw Man.

And if you want to me to respond or have any discussion in the future, then don't refer to me as "her" or "she" (my preferred pronouns are "he" or "him")

I don't care if you respond, but congrats on your transition I guess.

I really do not care about a single black man killed by the cops if the black community does not care about the rest of the black men killed by other black men in their community. Why should I care?

People think Chauvin was trying to kill him? Wow. Some of these people are just gone.

The Crack Cocaine was trying to kill him.

And George Floyd was charged with trying to MURDER a pregnant Woman. And yet, he's the Pedocrats hero.

It is a choice.  Every statue, moment of silence, and wanting to memorialize him is a choice by someone.  Just like you chose to defend him on my post which wasn't initially even a response to you.  You rushed to his defense like I'd just shoved in front of a pregnant lady holding an arm full of groceries at the check out line of Publix.

The man was a criminal.  I didn't want him dead but he's not someone that should be revered.  Moments of silence for this man and not others who were better people who were murdered over those five years speaks volumes.  There are statues of this guy.   Somewhere along the lines this political ideology of wanting statues for a guy who was a career criminal but wanting to remove those of some of our country's founding fathers is pretty outside the mainstream.  It's just one example of this odd choosing of figures to attach themselves to that become an albatross to them politically.

It's also part of why when Trump speaks on victims of violent crime perpetrated by illegal immigrants it gets more traction.  The left says well statistically it's less, etc.  But while Trump is embracing people like Laken Riley, the left is embracing people like George Floyd.  It's fertile political ground because those not on the extremes are pretty clear on who they choose.

Why not nearly the outrage for Walter Scott? You don’t even know what I’m referring to. You’re very useful to one side.

Nothing for this young Woman?

Laken Riley was a 22-year-old nursing student at Augusta University who was tragically murdered while running on the campus of the University of Georgia in Athens on February 22, 2024. The murder was committed by Jose Antonio Ibarra, who was found guilty of the crime and sentenced to life in prison.

Is anyone surprised that the libtards are supporting an attempted murderer of a pregnant woman?  And revering him like he's the second coming of Jesus Christ?

it's absolutely fascinating. And they stand by it to. Laken Riley, crickets. George Floyd,  statues, parades, holidays, etc.

That's why it's obvious this is a race grift.  If the goal really was to save black lives, you'd of course attack the biggest source of black murders.  But they're spotlighting the deaths that are almost as rare as being struck by lightning.  It's so so so so so stupid, and people won't stop placating it.

Was it caught on video?  If not, squistion thinks it's not as important.

I’ve added it to the running thread of 80/20 issues that liberals are taking a firm stand on the wrong side.

I never said or suggested that. Stop with this Straw Man mischaracterization.

Playing to their political base.  If you don't bend the knee for George Floyd you can't virtue signal.

Well it sounds like the person is transitioning.  Could be hormones interfering with brain function.  You never know what people are dealing with.

The They/Them/It is having a rough time with the transition. Very confused, obviously.

George Floyd in life made his “community of color” you know, the ones liberals are always feigning concern for, much worse. He’s the small percentage that ruins it for everyone that lives there. And yet they chose him to not only mourn, but celebrate. He was also an absentee father.

The person said they prefer he/him pronouns for what it's worth.

I don't call people who were obviously born biologically female by male pronouns though, so I'll just avoid using them in reference to squistion.

Wait, you're not a female and you're not trans?  Or do you just not want to talk about it?
