Kevin Durant traded to the Houston Rockets for Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, 1st round pick (10th overall) this year

Bad trade by the Rockets.

NBA draft is Wednesday.

Kevin Durant turns 37 in September.

Jalen Green just turned 23 in February.

Does he have land for sale?

As a Suns fan, I am so happy about this.  I heard that the Rockets included 5 2nd round picks as well.  KD is a luxury weapon for a championship-ready team, which isn't the Suns.

If they could somehow figure out how to unload Beal, I might splooge on my keyboard$#@!

This. The Rockets didn't have any superstars, but they had a lot of depth and balance. And youth.

As a Rockets fan, I don't like the trade.

Jalen is a good player too and worth more than Durant alone since he is young.

Good trade for both teams. Thought Houston would hold out for Giannis tho.

Not at all and Houston bent over.

Jalen Green had a standout high school basketball career, playing for San Joaquin Memorial High School and Prolific Prep. As a senior at Prolific Prep, he averaged 31.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, and 5 assists per game, leading his team to a 31-3 record and the Grind Session World Championship. Before Prolific Prep, he played three seasons at San Joaquin Memorial, becoming the school's all-time leading scorer with 2,291 points.

Drafted 2nd overall after Cade Cunningham 4 years ago.

He's averaged 20.1 ppg in 4 years in the NBA. 4-5 rebounds per game and 3 assists per game.

I bet on Green's overs a lot this year and won and was going to say that was round his average for the year. Houston got bent over like I posted earlier.

imo very good trade for both. Rockets made a go for it move without selling the future. they have nothing of substance now this year and next, but 2027 they have 2 1st, Phx and Brooklyn. Good chance both are solid. kd makes them better the next 2 yrs. jalen green is talented, but more an athlete than a hooper. he can explode for 30+ in one game and then disappear for multiple games. look at his series against GSW. a ghost. he is 23, but in the league 4 yrs now, his bball iq hasnt grown, much anyway. Rockets needed a more consistent option. jalen is talented, will get better, and is a reasonable step in the youth direction for the suns. 10th pick this year should help eventually. trade booker next for more youth push. eat beal contract cause you are gonna have to. brooks and green can help with a new D minset.

Reactions by the talking heads here in Phoenix are mixed.  There were some "better" deals discussed with other teams, but speculation is that Durant wouldn't commit to a second year (Minny was mentioned).

There is also speculation that they may do another deal, since this one was a week before the draft.  So don't buy your Green or Brooks Suns jerseys just yet.

Won’t be surprised to see the Houston implosion next season.  If they were looking for veteran leadership, they got none in Durant.

Didn’t watch any Suns games this year because they sucked so hard but Durant’s offensive stats are still elite. He just needs to not get hurt (that will be a challenge) but he’s getting his shot off and they go in.
