jenkins 1 Posted Friday at 03:18 PM Struggling between Chase and Bijan. 12 team, .5PPR, modified keeper. I will have Burrow on my team as a keeper (most keepers are later draft picks), but as much as I want to pick Chase, I'm worried that the drop off at the turn will be greater at RB than WR. Thoughts? TBayXXXVII 2,542 Posted Friday at 06:11 PM I'm thinking Chase, because WR's have more long term staying power. If you can keep on keeping Chase, that's probably better long term than giving him up and keeping Robinson.
JagFan 159 Posted Friday at 06:48 PM Take the elite RB. You can find catches later, but you can’t find a 300 touch RB later unless you get lucky or win the waiver game.
Showboat 256 Posted Friday at 07:29 PM The answer depends on knowing your league and their drafting tendencies. I'd lean towards Chase, but if your league drafts RBs early and often, go with Bijan.

I considered this, but I am of the mindset that RB's get hurt and are hurt by offenses/game plans more often, than WR's. I'd rather keep the elite WR, 1) He's less likely to get hurt 2) Despite QB play and or system, he's going to get the ball (see Justin Jefferson w/Darnold, CeeDee Lamb w/Rush, Brian Thomas w/crap Du jour in JAX, Nabors w/crap Du jour in NY), and 3) Even in a down year, he's still likely to be a WR1... just not the WR1. I don’t disagree. I just feel like WRs are easier to find with how pass happy the league is. That’s also why anchor RBs are scarce. And kinda to your point, WRs will produce even with crap QBs. I agree that WR's are easier to find, but I think if you have an elite WR, he's safer than an elite RB. If you pass up on getting an elite RB and get a "good" one, with an elite WR, you're safer than drafting an elite RB and getting a "good" WR. Though, I'd have to admit, I haven't been looking too much at ADP's. Just looking now, in a .5PPR as the OP states, taking Chase #1 could get him Chase Brown in R2. Maybe that's a stack someone doesn't want? Taking Robinson #1 could land him Garrett Wilson, Tee Higgins, Rashee Rice, Tyreek Hill, or Jaxon Smith-Njigba. In this scenario, it boils down to, "How comfortable are you"? I think I can make an argument for both sides.

I also think a given is that RB's are more likely to miss more time and have shorter careers.
