They’re losing votes by protesting. I hope they keep it up.

I'm exponentially more comfortable in a spicy skirt and a halter top than you'll ever be in your masculinity.

LGBTQ threatening your masculinity just means you're closeted.

I could dance around shirtless and in a pink thong in a pride parade and not feel that my masculinity and heterosexuality is one bit threatened.

Yours is fragile, but I support your curiosity exploration. Might make you feel better about yourself.

Grindr on!

Trump threatens federal takeover of DC after attack on former DOGE worker

WASHINGTON (AP) — Two 15-year-olds have been arrested in Washington in connection with the attempted carjacking and beating of one of the most prominent members of the Department of Government Efficiency, renewing calls from President Donald Trump for the federal government to seize control of the nation’s capital.

The victim, Edward Coristine, nicknamed “Big Balls,” was among the most visible figures of Trump’s DOGE, which was tasked with slashing federal bureaucracy.

Coristine was assaulted around 3 a.m. Sunday in the city’s Logan Circle neighborhood by a group of teenagers attempting to carjack him and a woman whom police identified as his significant other, according to authorities.

The Metropolitan Police Department said the group approached the couple’s car and made a comment about taking it. Coristine pushed the woman into the vehicle for safety and turned to confront the group. At least several of the teens then attacked him, police said, until officers patrolling nearby intervened. As officers moved toward the group, the teens fled on foot.

Two 15-year-olds from Maryland were arrested on charges of unarmed carjacking, police said.

The attack gave new fuel to long-standing Republican efforts to challenge Washington’s autonomy, with Trump threatening to bypass local authority and impose direct federal control over the city.

In a social media post and remarks at the White House on Tuesday, the president described crime in Washington as “out of control.”

“If D.C. doesn’t get its act together, and quickly, we will have no choice but to take Federal control of the City, and run this City how it should be run, and put criminals on notice that they’re not going to get away with it anymore,” Trump said in a post on Truth Social.

Disgusting.  I hope he sues them civilly for a million dollars.

Sounds like he's considering San Francisco next for the NG to pay a little visit.

the social media posts or comments I saw on this really sound like they welcome the NG.

San Francisco is just NOT what it used to be. I haven't been there recently enough to know about actual violence there, but it's crime ridden, druggies pooping every where in the streets. A once beautiful tourist city turned to poo. There's an app that will tell you where poo has been reported/found. That's saying something.

Some guy threw a subway sandwich at a cop yesterday and was charged with a felony.  FAFO.

Prosecutors failed to secure an indictment against him

https://abcnews.go.com/US/prosecutors-fail-secure-indictment-man-accused-throwing-sandwich/story?id=125023855&cid=social_twitter_abcn

Update: Apparently after failing to obtain an indictment, Pirro charged this guy Sean Dunn anyway with a misdemeanor. What’s more, Pam Bondi then proceeded to fire him - an Air Force veteran & DOJ paralegal - from his job, and the White House featured him in a video justifying their use of American troops against its citizens. Look at this craziness.

Well he’s now been acquitted at trial, the verdict is not guilty. I have no doubt if you threw a sandwich at a cop that would be a good way to get hauled into jail, but that’s about it.

From what I’ve read, the DOJ’s own witness the assaulted cop was snickering on the stand. Apparently his coworkers gave him gag gifts after the incident & he had to explain how the sandwich had “exploded” on impact.

The Atlantic speaks with one of the jurors in the case of the man who threw a Subway sandwich at a federal agent.

The juror says that, despite two initial holdouts, it was ultimately pretty easy to acquit: "a clear majority felt it was nonsensical, like, don't waste our time or money."

A summary from my friend Grok:

Supreme Court Blocks Trump's National Guard Deployment in Chicago

Last updated 20 minutes ago

The Supreme Court denied Trump's emergency request to use 300 federalized Illinois National Guard members to protect ICE officers facing vehicle rammings, thrown objects injuring over 30 agents, and property damage at a Broadview facility. The unsigned order upheld a lower court block, interpreting the statute to require proof that regular U.S. military forces could not handle the situation—a threshold not met here due to Posse Comitatus limits. Three conservative justices dissented, with Alito arguing for presidential deference amid the violence; the case now heads back to lower courts.

This story is a summary of posts on X and may evolve over time. Grok can make mistakes, verify its outputs.
