It's just a Trump clown show that puffs up the MAGAs. He doesn't have the balls to do anything about the drugs coming in from the primary places - China and Mexico. 

Almost nothing comes from Venezuela, so it's about putting on a show with an alterior motive for Venezuela, that being regime change and sticking his straw into that country's natural resources. He'll profiteer off it and then say he has nothing to do with the family business involved in the proceedings.
