Previously anyone could sell low does THC products.  Now it's banned so anyone using these products would have to go to a legal state dispensary.

Helps big liquor primarily. Their lobby was the main instigator, I heard.

ETA: The ban covers hemp-derived products like Delta-9, which is legal to sell in states that have not legalized marijuana. It does not affect products that are derived from THC/marijuana. Meaning, all the synthetic stuff being sold in states that haven't legalized mj is now illegal. States that have legal mj will now see a spike in the prices since the hemp products will be going away.

That's my understanding anyway. I haven't done any reading about it.

I don't understand the Democrats who think they were winning the shutdown and were undermined by the eight. Right wing commentators had been saying the exact opposite the entire time.

IMO, nobody was winning the shutdown, it was a stalemate until the end, and nobody won in the end. Also, I don't think the eight Dems caved nor do I think they lost but whatever. I dunno. It seemed like a perfectly evenhanded deal to me; I wasn't exactly thrilled with the concessions offered the Dems to make the deal either but I'm glad its done.

Its for the Dems to figure out how they want to react to the compromise.  Seeing Rachel Maddow as spokesperson for those who think they were winning and lost. It wasn't my take at all, neither side was winning and neither side won, but do I like seeing them piss and moan about it and thinking they lost. If they want to engage in a circular firing squad, I should support anything that weakens their party, but seeing the sane eight punished by the freak show fanatics for doing the right thing isn't bittersweet, it kinda sucks actually. Its better to have Democrats who reject the Borg implants the rest of them have.

Who cares about Rachel Maddow? She ditched her colleagues by not sticking up for them when MSNBC did a mass firing. 

The idea of forcing Republicans to extend healthcare subsidies was a worthy one. However, after 40 days it became obvious they didn’t care about people losing their health insurance. So the best thing to do was just to move on.

By December, millions of people will be flooding GOP offices with calls about their insane health insurance premiums. So they will have to act.
