The Congressional Democrats can choose to let the Republican Congress set budgetary priorities or they can choose to let Russ Vought make those decisions. It's their prerogative. 

Either way, they shouldn't be given any input in the decision making process.

I'd just take their unread proposals, smirk, throw them in the trash in front of them, and walk away. Not worth talking to. Don't need them. Don't care. Fock Off.

They chose Vought which is what I'd hoped they'd do. If they don't like what Russ Voight is doing, they are free to change their mind at any time but they don't deserve any face saving measures to take back to their retarded voters for doing so. There's no reason this should end in anything but total and complete failure on their part.

Republicans hold the upper hand here for now unless they do what you’re proposing. If they allow Vought to start to make permanent cuts I believe the public will change their tune.

Their best hope is for the GOP to overplay their hand and makes unpopular or unwise decisions because if they do, the Democratic party remains as really the only one viable alternative. Combine that with a downplay of their own toxicity and they will eventually at some point rebound.

You’re exactly right. But that’s happening already. The tariffs, ICE arresting non violent people, the big beautiful bill- all overplaying Trump’s hand. 
The shut down is the reverse: Dems overplaying THEIR hand. But even this could work for the Dems if Trump reacts by firing people.
