nobody 2,984 Posted November 24, 2025 Don't believe the propaganda put forth by Big Spice. Fact: they make money when you buy pepper grinders Fact: they save money not having to ground the pepper Fact: the dirty truth is big ass chunks of peppercorn accidentally getting in your food are a tooth hazard. Ron_Artest 2,794 Posted November 24, 2025 We have a rechargeable automatic pepper grinder. For 2 weeks I didn't use any pepper because the battery died and I was too lazy to charge it. I finally charged it over the weekend and enjoyed pepper on my homemade French fries. It was delicious.

Bier Meister 1,785 Posted November 24, 2025 depends how you are using it. in most cases i prefer grinding peppercorns. it gives off more aromatics and oils. i also like adjusting fineness for different applications.

squistion 2,725 Posted November 24, 2025 Quote Hot Take: pre ground pepper just as good as freshly ground Please. No, fresh ground pepper is superior to pepper that was pre-ground weeks or several months ago as it has a sharper taste and those with a distinguishing palate should be able to taste the difference. It is worth paying the extra for a pepper grinder IMO.
weepaws 3,486 Posted November 24, 2025 It’s not even close, freshly ground pepper wins.
