The enhanced ACA subsidies will expire at the end of December; premiums will double for millions of Americans

Is this a good time for the game of Guess dey color?

This crap was rampant in NorCal (and the vast majority of folks in the area I lived in vote R, for what it's worth). 75% of the folks seen at the clinic I worked at were on Medi-Cal. I know for absolute fact that a bare minimum of 25% of them were making large amounts on the side, either as laborers or pot growers/harvesters/clippers. To the point where I knew multiple people that were likely worth well into 7 figures that were getting free medical care. That pissed me off.

But hey, at least their weed was good. And CHEAP!

Dey white and the girl is very cute. Definitely can see why he keeps filling her with baby batter

He and ~stick are twins and look exactly like I would have thought

So I take it we’re not going to date someday?

I’m simply offering the facts as reported.

It's what you do. Find some reporting that you want to hear and post it as FACT.  Like I said, anyone can go on the marketplace, check premium rates and prove that you're FOS.

It’s not “some” reporting. It’s literally ALL the reporting. And as I mentioned, the response by Republican politicians in swing districts or states really tells us everything we need to know.

I know a couple that refuses to get married. They have 4 kids and the mom is a bartender and doesn't claim enough to get her over the free healthcare threshold. She makes WAY more the limit. The mom and kids get free healthcare and the dad gets his through his work. That is how you work the system

Was @ a bar about 10 years ago. One of the guys who had a kid of his own & a live-in girlfriend who also had a kid, told us the girlfriend (who had been working part time at UPS) was offered a full-time job.

Well, did she take it ?

Hell no, we'd lose all our benefits!

A little hint for you Einstein:  Politicians react to what sways the public whether the issue is real or not. It's unfortunate that people don't find the facts for themselves , like checking the rates for themselves that are available to everyone.  Too many sheep like you just listening to ALL the reporting.

Are you seriously trying to argue that rates are not going up?

Dont let the reporting fool you.  The premiums that double are for high income households who lose access to all subsidies.  People with low income will see some increase, but, not even close to double.  And it's more correct to say they revert back to pre-covid levels, you know, since covid is over with.

That's the worst thing about government programs.  They're all incentivised to make people not work.  Make too much and we will tax your social security!

It's implied with the "millions of Americans" .  Unless of course you and he are upset with people that have high income having to pay more, in lots of cases double or more, if so my apologies even though my post explained that distinction.  🪖

Even if the reporting is inaccurate (and I have no idea if this is the case) the reaction of Republican politicians in swing districts certainly is not. In a word they are panicking (thats the word THEY are using not me.)

If you’re right then this won’t have much of an impact on the upcoming elections. But it sure sounds like it will.

What republican politician said they are panicking?

Seriously though, being wealthy and early retired I support the Dems and these extentions.  I'd like to receive ~ $1,000/mo subsidy to get cheap healthcare and not having to worry about the cliff as I roll over retirement moneys into Roth accounts.

Go Dems! Bad Teump!

You're contention is that Republicans aren't in panic mode. I posted a link indicating the panicked state among Republicans, and you dismissed it because it didn't contain the word panic, so I posted a link to something that had the word "panic" in it, and your response was to dismiss the second article because the first article didn't have the word panic in it.

There is panic in the Republican party. Feel free to dance around like a fool all you want and wrap yourself in complacency, but Republicans are in a very bad place heading into the 2026 midterms, and the blue tsunami that is rapidly growing and intensifying will wash over our country next year.

You'll probably still enjoy your ignorant bliss and deny it, but it's going to happen.

Pretty horrible low IQ summary.  You failed from the jump. All you have to do is answer the question:

Name the politician, then link to them saying that.  Not some click bait article title.  You're Timscochet level reporting here Rusty.

Which makes me wonder - how did you fall so low?  Do you feel better now you're out of the closet at least?
