Coaching Changes

I suspect the management doesn't want a ground-and-pound type of offense and doesn't want to get rid of Harbaugh.  They have an above-average NFL QB but repeatedly fail to assemble an effective OL.  All this is no surprise yet they will continue to change Harbaugh's approach without addressing the elephant in the room (the GM).

I wouldn’t say they failed to assemble an effective OL, they had injury’s that wiped it out.

Saw a report that Mike McDaniel will meet with Bucs about their OC job.  I think that would be a great hire for Baker and the Bucs offense.  He'll probably have options as the Lions also interviewed him for their OC job.  He's probably waiting to see if he can get another HC gig, but I think he'd be much better off taking one of these good OC positions, flourishing, and re-emerging as the top HC candidate in the next cycle (unless he can somehow score the Ravens HC job now).

Agreed. I think a big part of what is happening is that they have a good QB but prefer to run more than pass.  Also I suspect the owner is seeing all these younger QBs and exciting coordinators and fancy passing games and he wants some.

Amazing, that was named coach of the year twice, when Chuck Noll never won that award once.  Shows how watered down the nfl is, it’s pretty bad, not even worthy of watching, and the Browns last two seasons, 8-26.  Mmm investing hire.

Bills firing McDermott reminds me of Philly firing Andy Reid in 2012.  Consistent playoff appearances - numerous conference title games... NOT GOOD ENOUGH. Worked out for the Eagles, but I think it's a mistake.

Spoiled bastards. I'd kill for just one AFC conference game appearance.  Go dolphins  :(
