lesjroza 70 Posted August 14, 2017 call me a grumpy old man - but he's grabbing the ball with one hand when it isn't necessary/should be grabbing it with 2 I kinda hear what you are saying....damn young whippersnapper show-offs! But go back and look at the first, he probably has to bring his body further around to get his other hand in position to wrap the ball with both hands in which case very likely he wouldn't have been able to continue upright into the end zone....momentum probably takes him to the ground or puts a great deal of stress on his knees. In the second, its just dirty, but look at the position of the DB including his head........because Beckham left that other arm down no way for the DB to know when to jump, most DBs are watching the hands go up for timing, the ball is other side of the DB and Beckham otherwise has to go through him to get both hands on it. Solid reasons for both of those IMO and he really is just that good
Matt Mueller 146 Posted August 15, 2017 ^ Great analysis and point about that back hand not going up. The second one is sick. If you pause at about 2 seconds in beckams knees are above the other dudes thighs who are still planted on the ground. He legit matrix floats over him and then extendo snatches. He keeps doing things I've never seen on the football field.
NEWPOSTERGUY! 267 Posted August 15, 2017 yet he will drop the easiest of passes at the most inopportune times. kid is a legit freak, and may be the G.O.A.T. when it's all said and done, but, let's catch those drive sustaining outs and curls with the same gusto and flare we do these circus snatches ... they ALL matter. TIA Seriously true. He spends his time practicing laying down in the endzone and making one handed grabs. He should spend more time securing catches in traffic rather than focusing on being a highlight reel dude. Although, who am I to say what a guy in the league wants to be known for in his career. I get it...
