FFer 11 Posted October 19, 2018 Would think this means better things for DJ and Fitz. Can't get any worse. Somebody dropped Fitz after week 6. I would have to drop Gabriel or Mack to get him. Worth a shot for next week or is Rosen just not good?
weepaws 2,460 Posted October 20, 2018 I don’t see how the talent gets better with a new OC. Only Zona player that might be better is D Johnson. Everyone else will be about the same, atleast that’s what I think. But then again I don’t watch tv, just the highlights. Thanks you.
stonewall 647 Posted October 20, 2018 Byron Leftwich? Used to call him "The Windmill" in fantasy circles.
polecatt 403 Posted October 20, 2018 Unless he plays at QB like he did at Marshall I don't think it's going to matter
kcBlitzkrieg 17 Posted October 20, 2018 At least he is coming from the Bruce Arians coaching tree. Anything will be better than Mccoy. Hes a first time play caller but one would expect DJ to at least get involved more in the vertical passing game. No risk it no biscuit as Arians says. As for Rosen, he really doesn't even look like any kind of athlete, but with Leftwich calling different plays maybe it'll improve some this year. Hopefully he get's a real chance rather than running out the season with someone else's trash.
SexyRexy 60 Posted October 20, 2018 In some cases Id say such a change would help. In this case I do not think it moves the needle much except perhaps a bit for DJ if he gets more integrated into the pass game as he should be for a variety of reasons. When Arians had a good OLine he got QBs beat up with his system The Cards have one of the worst Olines in the NFL I would not expect anybody to be more involved in a vertical passing game , if anything they probably have to go more max protect and get the ball out quicker........it would help the team in its current circumstance and give Rosen a chance to develop if DJ would spend more time pass blocking........I know nobody here wants to hear that though

If I was a owner of D Johnson in a redraft league I would be shopping him, maybe another owner will be overly excited about this change and give you someone more worthy. Great post, thank you. I think all will agree though that this move has to be better for DJ, even if it involves more pass blocking.
