Yes very clear she was trying to flee and not trying to hit him. Clean shoot probably, but he could have easily gotten out of the way without shooting.

I think @Engorgeous George mentioned in the other thread that anyone with any experience driving in the snow shouldn’t have gotten stuck there and I’d agree, but it’s possible that driver had no experience driving in the snow. Most of the road was clear, but there was some snow off to the side. Maybe the car next to the Pilot wasn’t the one stuck in the snow, but in general that seems like a dumb thing for them to lie about although I know they’ve lied about dumb things before. If they wanted to lie they could have said she stopped them from capturing an illegal alien rapist or something.

I think it’s possible the car to the right of the Pilot was the one stuck in the snow. But if all they were doing was attending to a car stuck in the snow that proves they were not doing a specific operation.

At worst, it could be obstruction of federal officers, which looks like is only a misdemeanor if no force is involved which there wasn’t prior to her driving away. Reminder that even DHS has admitted that there was not a specific operation occurring at this location, simply a car stuck in the snow.

What was her major crime prior to driving away? She wasn’t even trying to help illegals escape or something, DHS themselves says the scene first started simply because an ICE vehicle got stuck in the snow.

That actually is how it works in a lot of instances of minor crimes, shoplifting for example.

Oh stop with your semantics games. No, he didn’t shoot until she was going forward. But he saw her go backward first - which gave him time to get clear out of the way if he wanted to, but apparently he didn’t.

If you didn’t see her going backward first, then you should probably stop commenting. She backs up to make room to turn away, then when she moves forward clearly turns away from the officer (despite apparently grazing him)
