SNAP bans on soda, candy and other foods take effect in five states Jan. 1. Shaquanda gonna be mad!

Calories in Calories Out. Diet Soda does not contain calories, so it will be equal to water in terms of weight loss if all else is equal. But because Diet Soda can satisfy a sweet craving, it may lead to less consumption of calorie-containing sugar in other forms. Next lesson will be $300. -

Well if you’re actually asking for my opinion, yes I do think it’s better than water for weight loss. There are of course other potential downsides to diet soda unrelated to weight loss, such as to your teeth or if there any yet to be determined long-term effects. The video explained a possible why, the study did not. The video also gave a response to idiots like you complaining about the funding source. It’s only 8 minutes long. You of course can also read the transcript if you don’t want to watch a video. You still haven’t answered. When you lost weight by cutting out soda, what type of soda were you drinking? You kinda seem mad that maybe you could have just switched from regular to diet soda and gotten the same or better results. -

He didn’t say it didn’t work, just that it’s “crap.” Yea that is exactly the theory on diet soda. Making SNAP recipients switch to diet soda would likely result in a lot of weight loss. -

This is the study he discusses in the video: https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC10746539/ Studies aren’t always meant to tell you “why” something happens. Just that it happened. Also, you realize “random youtube guys” are a big part of our current admin right? Ironically Norton loves (correctly) poking fun at a guy named Paul Saladino who is often seen with RFK. He’s one of those dudes that thinks seed oils are going to kill us all. But other than those types of guys there are a lot of smart people that think diet soda is a good way for people to get the satisfaction of something sweet-tasting without the calories. Btw Norton is a former bodybuilder, powerlifter, and has a PhD and has published a lot of his own research: https://biolayne.com/about/ -

No, that’s not what I said, liar. I said it was sometimes shown in studies to perform better. Words matter. This video (by the same guy Gutter linked, pretty sure I’ve shared this in an earlier thread on this topic) does a good job explaining the likely mechanism, includes links to other studies and also provides multiple responses to idiots like you blindly rejecting it because “iT wAs FuNdEd By BiG sOdA.” The most notable explanation IMO being that the authors retained the right to publish the results no matter the result, which doesn’t always happen with funding sources hoping for a particular result. You never answered my question btw, when you lost weight by cutting out soda, what type of soda were you drinking? -

Diet/zero sugar soda does not cause weight gain. Lots of studies on this. This is actually something I’ve changed my mind on after reading the research. -

Doubling down on your stupidity, lol. Please quote the entire sentence from the story where the state of Virginia is named. When you are unable to do that, please report back and admit you’re an idiot. Thanks in advance. -

Were you drinking diet or regular soda before cutting it out? Diet soda is often “associated” with obesity, but that’s because fat people are more likely to drink it. There are numerous randomized controlled trials showing that diet soda performs equally and sometimes better than water for weight loss.
