jimstruble 0 Posted October 17, 2006 need to start 2 of these RB Larry Johnson vs San Diego Kevin Jones @ NYJets Fred Taylor @ Houston Cory Dillon @ Buffalo Please pick
redshirtrookie 0 Posted October 17, 2006 LJ's a must start. no doubt. i'd start taylor or jones. taylor cause he gets a weak matchup, but he might get pulled when they get a huge lead. jones cause the jets allow 145 YPG on the ground. he's also the #1 back and wont be losing as many carries as taylor. add to it the fact that he catches passes better than taylor and that should make your decision that much easier. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=245061
budman1 0 Posted October 17, 2006 NO! johnson and jones

Sux2butoo 0 Posted October 19, 2006 LJ all day and Taylor will get some TD runs vs a weak Houston http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=245832
sturbo 0 Posted October 19, 2006 Never sit LJ, and I'd play Jones because he will get the most carries out of the other 3. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=245842
nosferatu9368 0 Posted October 19, 2006 No question LJ & KJ Dillon is losing carries everyweek to Maroney and Fragile Fred has MoJo cutting into his carries. Good Luck Thanks for answering mine Peace...
dalie 2 Posted October 19, 2006 L & K Jones, the other 2 share to much. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=245858
Melvinbet 5 Posted October 20, 2006 I'm not so sure about L.J. Why does everyone have to start someone based on their name and past performance of a year ago? He lost another blocker and SD is not a defense to take lightly. Fred has shown no signs of fragility this year and appears to be in his best shape ever. Jones-Drew has some TD's but most of them are taken away from the Jags WR's not from Fred. The Jags have a good matchup as well this week. Teams have been running well against the Jets so K. Jones should have another nice game plus he's good for 40-50 yards in recepts as well. As far as Dillon goes, Maroney does cut into a lot of his carries. I would go with Fred Taylor and Kevin Jones this week. Thanks 4 mine!

I also agree. a talented running back is no good if the O-Line sucks. and the stock of LJ is going down day by day as the KC Linemen drop like flies. he'll put up adequate numbers, but you cant argue with the matchups. Fragile fred would be a top 5 RB if he could stay healthy. the fact Jones-drew is there to take some carries actually makes him more effective and less prone to injury due to a slightly lighter workload. I also was aware his offseason training this year would help his durability issues. Since he is still healthy, I have no problem recommending Taylor against the weak houston Defense. I'd expect a big day for him. And I'd say KJ against the jets is a slam dunk. I'd only be careful about his injury. double check just before your roster deadline to make sure they arent sitting him. I suspect he will play... but you never know. You're doing the right thing here.

Melvinbet 5 Posted October 21, 2006 I already replied to this one and you replied to mine. Based on what you said, I have another question. Could you please take a look at it? Thanks, I appreciate it!
Candygram4Mongo 8 Posted October 21, 2006 I'd rank them like this KJones FTaylor LJohnson Dillon Its weird how the whole fantasy universe is down on LJ, but they all might be right. All good choices, Fred elevates vs lousy Texans, Dillon falls vs Bills. thanks for mine
napa joe 0 Posted October 21, 2006 1. KJ vs LT2 the top two RBs. The Chiefs are tough at Arrowhead. After their loss in Pittsburgh, they will have something to prove. I do believe that the Chargers defense is solid, but I think Johnson has a big day. Youpicked him #1, you did that for a reason. 2. K Jones has a good day vs the Jets. help with mine is appreciated. thanks http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=246313
Manifest Destiny 0 Posted October 21, 2006 Johnson and Jones. Neither are in a RBBC. WR Help
mrgymrat 0 Posted October 21, 2006 I'd rank them like thisKJones FTaylor LJohnson Dillon I also have LJ and he has been killing me. I don't think the "Never Sit Your Studs" rule applies to LJ this year because he hasn't really done much. O line is sketchy at best and without a bonafide QB, most teams are playing the run and challenging Huard to throw. Wouldn't you? I'd play the matchups so that being said: 1. Fred taylor vs Texans 2. KJ vs Jets Might even consider Dillon over LJ as well. KC vs SD Def is a tough draw. I'm gonna play LJ and hope for the best but i don't have the options that you do. --- Thx for answerng mine late last night
vinniedasquid 0 Posted October 21, 2006 Dillon is automatically removed from consideration with your other choices. As hard as it is for me to say this after owning him last year (till I traded him for Chris Chambers and rode him into the playoffs ), Kevin Jones looks like your best running back right now. And generally I tell people that if Fred Taylor is healthy, you start him. He's an unquestioningly good RB when healthy. Plus JAX is playing Houston this week. I hate the idea of sitting LJ, but with their Oline getting more and more beat up and the fact that KC is playing the Chargers, I just think KJ and Fred are much better starts this week. http://www.fftodayforums.com/forum/index.p...howtopic=246370
