Voltaire 5,316 Posted October 7, 2007 Fascinating position The Retard finds himself in. Although clearly not troubled with executing the guilty, he's got the Mexicans and the Eurosissies on his butt in the international courts. Plus he has to fock with internal affairs in the State of Texas. Can't blame him one way or the other. I suspect he has to go through the motions to appese the international community. Just about everybody stateside knows he has no jurisdiction over this, but overseas fols won't understand. The courts, you would have to think, would say it's not the federal government's role and Bush will be given the excuse he needs to go to Mexico and say he did the best he could. supermike80 1,910 Posted October 8, 2007 Notwithstanding your stupid thread title, that is a pretty interesting legal battle between the feds and the states. Interesting to see how that is handled.
Bert 1,128 Posted October 8, 2007 I remember this case. It was absolutely brutal what those focking illegal bastards did to those girls. This focker should be killed by having a jagged metal pipe rammed up his ass repeatedly until he is dead.

wiffleball 4,790 Posted October 8, 2007 Allrighty, let me see if I'm up to speed: Bush refuses to pardon the AMERICAN Border Patrol agents for doing their job. Meanwhile, they're getting their axx kicked in prison. Bush wants to grant the MESSICANS who rape and murder AMERICAN girls a reprieve. Bush wants to reward the 12 Million Messicans who broke the law and entered our country illegally. Bush refuses to secure our borders from the Messican criminals who kill and rape American citizens. What the fock team does he play for again??

Toro 1 Posted October 8, 2007 Bush refuses to pardon the AMERICAN Border Patrol agents for doing their job. Meanwhile, they're getting their axx kicked in prison. You mean the ones that shot a guy and then failed to report it and tried to cover it up?
wiffleball 4,790 Posted October 8, 2007 You mean the ones that shot a guy and then failed to report it and tried to cover it up? Yes, the one cop who allegedly shot an illegal alien in the butt on American soil driving a van filled with 800 lbs of marijuana who ran from armed agents? The same drug dealer who Bush's stellar (and now infamous) Justice Department gave full immunity to? And, to my knowledge, all they did was not report a shooting because because somehow, this horribly wounded man kept running and never missed a beat? Yep, that'd be the case I'm talking about. I'm actually all FOR shooting drug smugglers who violate our borders in the axx. It's a platform I can support.

They failed to report it, and actively covered it up by removing evidence (shell casings) from the scene. I guess that's where we differ. I am for all people obeying the laws of the United States, rather than just the ones they feel are right.

Toro 1 Posted October 8, 2007 That was all made up by some lawyer. HTH Uh, no it wasn't. "So began a Department of Homeland Security internal investigation that uncovered what appeared to be a straightforward case of two federal agents shooting at a man as he ran away and then concealing their actions. Investigators found that Osvaldo Aldrete-Davila had put his hands in the air and tried to surrender, but Compean—instead of apprehending him—had swung at him with the butt of his shotgun. Aldrete-Davila had bolted, and as he ran, Compean and Ramos had fired at him fifteen times, with Compean stopping to reload his Beretta as he tried to hit his mark. Neither agent announced the shooting over the radio or informed his supervisor of what had happened; the official report about the pursuit made no mention of their firing their weapons. And rather than secure the area so that evidence could be preserved, Compean had retrieved most of his spent shell casings and tossed them into a ditch. Only when questioned by investigators a month later did he offer the explanation that he and Ramos had acted in self-defense; Aldrete-Davila had been “pointing something shiny” that “looked like a gun.” A federal jury, which heard both agents’ testimony, rejected their version of events and convicted them on five out of six criminal charges, including assault, obstruction of justice, and civil rights violations." ... "Ramos knew the protocol: A Border Patrol agent who fires his weapon is required to inform a supervisor within an hour. (Border Patrol agents are trained to shoot to kill, not to maim.) Yet as he talked to Richards, he never mentioned that he and Compean had just shot at a suspect fifteen times. Ramos said only that Compean had fallen while he was trying to apprehend the van’s driver and had gotten dirt thrown in his eyes. Richards called out to Compean, who was standing at a distance on the levee, and asked if he was all right. The agent assured him that he was, except for a few cuts on his hand and face, and said nothing about the shooting. Before leaving the area, Compean stooped down to pick up nine of his spent shell casings and tossed them in the ditch." http://www.texasmonthly.com/2007-09-01/feature2-2.php

Toro 1 Posted October 8, 2007 I kid sometimes. Still, I am on the border agents side and hate Bush for not giving them a pardon for being great American heroes defending our borders from vermin. I am as well and would be in favor of a suspended sentence, probation and them losing their jobs. But I am not in favor of wiffle's "that ain't right so it should be legal" mentality. It's the same excuse illegals use.
