Alright ladies and gentlemen - we have another offseason of bordem ahead of us. We do have the lockout looming, which brings another little twist to the down time...but other than that, the NFL draft is all we have to look forward to. Not many conversation topics except for the dumbazzes who get arrested. Last year was the lowest number in our 4 or 5 years of doing this - - -ONLY 17. Maybe Goodell has scared the bejesus out to these boys. There wasn't even an exciting arrest last year. Car infractions was it at a total of 9. Now 2009 & 2008 - - that's another story!

Thanks to the posters in the past who have been very up to date - - Vikes4ever and Worm - you two have been great

Here is the 2010 rap sheet...

http://www.fftodayfo...howtopic=361601

So what's your guess for this offseason?

and once again...Dear all NFL players...Jocstrap is available for driving your vehicle any particular night in the offseason. My rate is $1000 per night + travel expensess + hotel + food + car rental - - - this is so much cheaper than your DUI you will receive. If you smoke pot in the car, I promise I won't tell . If you bang a chick - I promise I wont look! Good luck Boys, may you have a great offseason!

Due to the impending lockout, I think we'll see a huge increase in domestic violence calls/arrests this year.

Dembitches need to get paid.

I'll put $10 on 40+ this year.

Players no longer have benefits (health insurance and such), so my guess is that those players at the league minimum that now have to pay cash for things that they're not used to paying for will be placed into an "uncomfortable" situation with their baby mamas.

I expect a rash of domestic violence, DUI, and assault arrests.

Not arrested yet, but...

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2011/02/09/kenny-britt-due-in-court-accused-of-breaking-promise-to-pay-bail/

Titans receiver Kenny Britt is facing more legal trouble, with a court date in Jersey City on Thursday, where he’ll face charges of theft-by-deception for not coming through on a promise to pay bail money for a friend who had been arrested in January 2010.

Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean reports that two bail bond companies say Britt convinced them to bail out his friend Albert Robinson, who was facing charges of hindering apprehension and weapons offenses. According to those two companies, which have the interesting names of Boss Bail Bonds and Bails Bails Bails, Britt promised that he would pay back the bail money and never did.

Britt is accused of "creating or reinforcing a false impression by stating in open court that he would pay the bail amount," according to the complaint.

Five months after Britt got him bailed out, Robinson was arrested and charged in the murder of a 17-year-old boy in Jersey City.

Britt’s off-field problems in 2010 included an arrest for outstanding traffic warrants, a misdemeanor citation for driving on a revoked license and a bar fight that got him benched for the first quarter of a game.

Free agent WR Legedu Naanee was arrested for public intoxication and resisting arrest Saturday in Indianapolis.

Naanee, 27, crossed into an active crime scene at 3:20AM, and while he was being told to leave exhibited a "strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on or about his breath or person." Naanee allegedly asked an officer "why he was being such an (expletive)." He "actively began to pull away" as police took him into custody, and continued to resist as he was pepper sprayed. "Do you know who I am?" Naanee asked officers. "I am an NFL player and I’m going to sue your ass."

Thanks Saint - this one is pretty good. I always get a little chuckle when a taser or pepper spray is involved. Matter of fact, this could be our first pepper spray on record in 4 years??? and DO YOU KNOW WHO I AM? Crassic!

I think so. Cedric Benson's boat trip if I'm not mistaken.

Not a player, but had to be posted

If you’re going to drink in Indianapolis during the NFL combine’s after hours, don’t get too drunk. If you get too drunk, though, it’s advisable not to urinate on any of the buildings downtown. And if you have to urinate on a public structure, make sure you don’t get picked up by the cops. And if you get picked up by the cops, make sure not to show the female officer your genitals.

Unfortunately for Rams scout Luke Driscoll, he didn’t heed any of the aforementioned guidelines.

According to Fox 59, the 33-year-old Driscoll was arrested early Friday morning for urinating on a downtown Indianapolis building and then exposing himself to a female officer.

Driscoll – who’s been with St. Louis for 11 years, the past six as a scout – has been charged with public nudity and public intoxication.

this has happened before. Do you really think they flash their package? Or does the cop see the package and just writes up another charge?

Probably the latter. If you're drunk enough it can be difficult to zip-up quickly.

#3 - King Dunlap, OT, Reckless Driving/Disorderly Conduct

http://www.tennessean.com/article/20110304/NEWS03/110304050/Nashville-police-charge-NFL-player-after-he-drove-car-onto-Bridgestone-Arena-plaza

Metro Police charged Philadelphia Eagles offensive tackle King Dunlap with reckless driving and disorderly conduct Friday after he drove his 2004 Cadillac Escalade onto the sidewalk/plaza area of Bridgestone Arena in the midst of hundreds of SEC Women’s Basketball fans. According to police, when officers approached and asked Dunlap about his actions, he told them he was there to pick up his father, who uses a wheelchair. Dunlap refused to move, even after being given a final warning. Police removed him from the SUV and placed him under arrest, according to a police statement. Dunlap did not resist arrest and was cooperative after he was arrested, police said.

I understand that his father's handicapped, but to refuse to move the car is just stupid.

The comment on the National Football Post version of this story was great.

This question should appear on the Wonderlic:

If the police ask you to move your car, you should

a) Tell them to F&^k off.

B) Become belligerent and throw them the finger.

c) Move your car

no arrests yet, but damn...

(KFFL) New England Patriots SS Brandon Meriweather allegedly shot two men, one in the head, during a fight outside a house party in Apopka, Fla., Feb. 27, according to John Morgan, attorney for the victims, reports Luke O'Brien, of Deadspin. A friend of Meriweather's allegedly beat up a woman, according to Morgan. The woman's brother arrived later with his own friend, and the conflagration shifted to a nearby party, where the brother soon got the better of Meriweather's friend in a fight. That's when Meriweather allegedly pulled out his gun and fired at the brother, grazing the man's face and hitting the other victim in the head, according to Morgan. Detectives are investigating the case but have made no arrests, Morgan said.

NE might be in the market for a new strong safety now? DE and LB I thought were the hot ticket items for NE's 2 first round picks. There might be another gap/need before too long :dunno:

Vikings CB Chris Cook was arrested Saturday evening in Lynchburg, Virginia, and charged with pulling out a handgun during a fight with another man.

As ProFootballTalk.com point out last month, the league office has no sway over player personal conduct and drug testing during a lockout. They "forfeit" the ability to discipline Cook, so he won't face a suspension. The NFL could attempt to punish Cook retroactively, though he'd have a strong case in dispute.
