This person used a male name for crimes and because she was schizophrenic, no evidence they were actually a tranny. The Colorado Springs shooter did not “identify as non binary” until after the shooting. The trial showed there was no evidence they were actually non-binary. I mean c’mon, he couldn’t even fully commit to the act by actually claiming to be trans, so he went with “non-binary” I did not see any claims until recently (for a shooting that occurred in 2018) that the Aberdeen shooter was trans. The Nashville shooter was trans. These others were not based on the information we have available. If you insist I’ll give you the Iowa one but even that is a gray area. They may have been thinking about transitioning but had not yet. -

I’ll add society. If we accept it as normal, that’s what it becomes. There is nothing normal about the trans movement, and it needs to stay that way. You’re already seeing the next step on their ladder with MAP. Focking disgusting. -

Yes there seems to be some dispute about what actually happened in the interaction. Not to mention the person who was charged and Mace had arrested is a strong advocate for foster care reform and is an advocate for trans gender youth. Of course though- if they truly assaulted her, none of their work negates that.

No what I'm saying is that the anti trans movement is much bigger than any of that. You had trump lying about kids going to school as a boy and coming home a girl and people believed that and voted for him because of it, despite the fact that it never happened once. What you described is a moderate solution but the extremes have been taught to hate. Culture war instead of class war, that's what the elites have pushed. -

Neither have I. Someone suggested the show because I am a fan of Jensen Ackles even though he’s barely in it. the odd thing is I usually get annoyed and easily see the woke crap. Like umbrella academy for example when it wasn’t enough to have the trans actor playing a character, they had to make the character trans as well in season 2. I never really got annoyed with the boys because everything is so satirical. After season 1 or 2, gun to my head I would have said the creators of the show were more conservative and making fun of heavy liberals. But obviously that’s not the case. -

I'm saying that I don't object to gays being married, but recognize that allowing it was a slippery slope, because all progressive movements are slippery slopes. We are literally living through it now with trans rights as I've listed (women's safe spaces, women's sports, kids, etc.). Sorry for the snark, but I've now said at least three times that I don't object to gays being married, and you are saying I said we should have given rights to gays. -

Well if you disagree with Slate, you must be correct. Just because you think it should always have been normal (it wasn't, ask Clinton or Obama when they opposed it), it was in fact a progressive movement, and continues to be expanding in the interest of trans rights including minors. Do you at least agree on this latter part, or do you still not see the relationship. -
Problem is, you can't anymore. The recent links talk about councilors being pressured to rubber-stamp any kid who thought they might be trans. This is part of how posters like @squistionand @The Real timschochet "conclude" that the "vast" majority of experts support transing the kids. The story has been laid out, for any who care to understand it. Europe had a study which showed positive results for medical intervention, so that became the norm. Problem was, that study used very carefully culled patients who had gone through rigorous counseling, not anyone who felt trans that day. After some time doing that, they've come to realize that that was a big mistake, and most if not all of those countries have significantly pulled back on such interventions. The US was eager to jump into the woke part of this story (the initial, mistaken part) but seems reticent to learn the second half from Europe, instead apparently being willing to screw up its own children and learn that way. Folks like Tim and Squis will sit here and say with a straight face that this astronomical increase in trans-identifying kids is all real, and all they needed was a welcoming society. The future will show how wrong this is, but they'll sit here with goofy smiles and say oops, oh well, we meant well, which I'm sure they do. That's one of the perils of liberal ideology, it just sounds so darn nice, even when it isn't.

Who competes in the trans women category? Other trans women, aka biological males. They are still essentially competing against other males, they have NO advantage. I am not saying that this is the ONLY reason they want to complete in bio-female categories, however they are probably less likely to win against other trans women. Especially if their hormone levels are all at specific levels determined by the sport...BUT...you have one dude that started transitioning in his teens vs the one in his 20s..and the one in his 20s will already have SOME biological advantage. They are still (in the most basic sense) bio-men competing against bio-men. They just call themselves women. This isn't really difficult to understand from my perspective. They can call themselves the giraffe category, who gives a fock. It's about strength, speed, fitness, muscle, height, weight...you put someone naturally bigger and stronger against someone who isn't and you know who is going to win. This is why for years and years bio men have been faster and stronger than bio females...across nearly EVERY sport. It's like the Lia Thomas/Riley Gains thing. Lia Thomas is 6'1". Riley Gains is 5'9". Take away everything else, and Lia already has an advantage in the pool. Lia went from 555th in mens swimming to 36th in women's. Lia isn't going to want to complete with other trans-females and go back to being mid to back of the pack. Would you? -

Just had this discussion a while ago actually. Never had a problem with gaya, gay movements, gay marriage. All of it. Difference is the trans movement wants to include kids. -

Again, to be clean, by impact - I'm talking about the total number number formerly male trans athletes competing in women's sports. Just anecdotally based on this board, I'm pretty sure I'm hearing about every dang trans athlete issue that comes up. And even if TikTok has decided to censor a video, which is their right, there are millions of outlets that will spread the news everytime some fe(male) wins an event. I said nothing about it being sporting to have a biological advantage and did state " it clearly seems unfair in most situations." I was talking about the self-esteem that comes with participating in sports in general. And please see above about what I meant for impact. For instance I played basketball on the JV team that went 3-17, we were terrible. On top of that there were only 7 total players on the team and I was the last off the bench. On team with only 7 players, 20 games for 640 total minutes of basketball, I scored 10 points. But I still learned the lessons of teamwork, being dedicated and gained the self-esteem of knowing I worked every day during that season and gave it my all the entire time. That's what I mean by self-esteem. I'm not talking any self-esteem(which would be more ego) from the fe(male) who beats her competitors by 50M. On top of gender dysphoria, a person would also be dealing with a massive narcism problem to be proud of that accomplishment. The issue that I have is that I believe sports can be beneficial to all for a variety of reasons of character building reason. I hope that someday there is some kind of equitable solution so that everyone who wants to compete can AND it's on a level playing field. So until that solution presents itself, I'm left with . That doesn't mean I don't see the problem or am ignoring it, I just don't think the solution is black or white. -

I do? I am pro trans and abortion once again, I am pro the gays, I am not even for deporting illegals, but I am anti war machine, which is oddly the same stance I have had my whole life, and that makes me MAGA now I have plenty of beanies, but thanks for caring so much
