We need to have a national conversation about the radicalization of LGBTQ youth.
EternalShinyAndChrome replied to Cdub100's topic in The Geek Club
Yes, because gay, lesbian and trans people are the only ones that have ever been bullied and picked on and are the only ones that have ever suffered any hardship. Everyone else has had a unicorns and rainbows type of life. Get the f*** out of here with that b******* excuse. It's the standard go-to cop out the left always uses whenever they're cornered with facts and data. I guarantee you numerous people have had it worse then a tranny in the USA. The fact of the matter is, is that trannies are mentally ill. Most of them are. You have to be because you're in a constant state of civil war between your body and your mind. How could you not be? We need to stop catering to fantasies and mental illness, and start treating it as the mental illness it is. It is not something to be celebrated or promoted. These people are literally shooting up schools. -

Got to be trans, as the hatred and transphobia at times reaches almost demented proportions. -

Congrats on your strawman. I never said that about LBG. It is the T community and this mass rush to transition young children which is increasing mental illness and causing a big problem The whole hate crime bs is a red herring. Gays and lesbians are far more healthy and well adjusted than trans are and they would be subjected to similar ridicule. And 98 percent of those confused kids would just discover their sexuality whether it would be gay. straight or Bi if you just let them go through puberty without transitioning them. -

Thanks. The police haven’t identified the shooter yet. Seems a little premature to assume he was trans, but that’s where we are now. -

Indeed. They have already used it as an opportunity to do some more trans bashing, which apparently was an attempt at humor. -
Dave Chappelle's Netflix special goes viral for blunt transgender comments
MDC replied to seafoam1's topic in The Geek Club
The OP’s article and many Geeks act like Chapelle is a free speech martyr. There are some libs bashing Dave because they don’t like the trans stuff. But he’s also just not that funny anymore and I saw that as a huge fan of his show. Both things can be true. -
Dave Chappelle's Netflix special goes viral for blunt transgender comments
BuckSwope replied to seafoam1's topic in The Geek Club
That's fair. I meant not so much that they didn't like him more, but think he's even funnier now that he's taking shots there. You are right though, it's more the left having 0 tolerance for discussion about that topic. I can't think of a more toxic topic for a comedian or speaker to address. Maybe if Chapelle was doing jokes about Israel, maybe? What I find interesting is he does a lot of jokes about them, but if you actually watch the whole special or a few of them, anybody with a brain can tell where they are coming from and it's not hatred - e.g. his story about the trans comedian. I think he has one of the best descriptions of the issue with his LGBTQ in a car bit as well. Like most things, people just rely on a 20clip online and look to get pissed off instead of actually trying to understand another POV or consume it all in context. -

Google his name and tell me how many rightie articles sing his praise. Its 95% bashing. It is quite obvious the lib bashers of him being unfunny do so over his content. If he was the exact same amount of funny right now but without trans jokes, lefties wouldn't say a word about how he has fallen off. Theyd probably flip script and say hes still as good as ever. -

For every liberal 2 cent vanity blogger roasting Chapelle there’s a rightie singing his praises because he makes fun of trans people. I’d say Dave is winning at staying relevant because he’s not doing it by being funny anymore. -

I’m a longtime fan of Chapelle dating back to his show. There are no doubt people bashing his show because they don’t like the subject matter. There are also people defending him only because they like trans jokes. But his new show is objectively not that funny. -

Haven't watched this one. But thought his last couple were solid. If it was any other comic that may be heading over the hill, no one would say anything or care. It is quite clear media and people are bashing his decline as a cloak for having a problem with his subject matter. Any other comic without trans jokes wouldn't get a mention here, in rolling stone or any other "medias". They would slowly fade into the night. So he is sorta winning. -

I watched it last night. It was just OK - definitely not Dave’s best but I laughed a few times. There were a handful of trans and disabled jokes that weren’t offensive but also not that funny. Nothing to get worked up about. Id give it a B-. -

I think Chapelle will be just fine. I watched the special the other night and laughed a bit. The stuff on trans people was on par with his other two. I thought maybe between his special and the new Gervais stand up, the handicapped community would be upset, but maybe they can take a joke better? -

Children are going to pay the price, Christian groups slam Mike DeWine veto of trans surgery ban. Hey those Red Team lovers, this Mike DeWine represents you, you fools. Why do we keep fighting to vote for the criminals is shocking to me, and on this board the debates for who’s side is better, no side is better what you are fighting over id who’s side isn’t as bad. Fock them all. They are on the same team, and this trash is proof. Ps please excuse my language, this is just simple prof that the governments of this country and this world are working hard to destroy not to protect. -

thinks 3 year olds can be trans smh also thinks it costs taxpayers money to sign a bill, the taxpayers are already paying them to sit in office and do exactly that -
Can’t campaign against trans in sports in 2024 if you ban it in 2023.

What’ is the Christian attitude towards gays and trans, I can’t wait to see this?

I agree with this, it’s generally true. But it’s not true in terms of attitudes towards gays and trans.

Why Won't Democrats Protect Kids?
Hardcore troubadour replied to League Champion's topic in The Geek Club
Trans have been around a long, long time. No one cared until they involved kids. -
I think a lot of it stems from the religious right. Combine that with the idea and evidence that it's a social contagion and we will all be lbgtq in a couple decades, and I get why it dominates headlines on the right. Hell, even people like Maher were showing graphs like that and monologing about that. For my tastes both sides have lost their mind over the issue. I think most people if sat down would agree to keep trans women out of women's sports, strong sexual content out of schools, and minors away from permanent changes like hormones and surgery.

. This place and the internet in a nutshell. If you aren't willing to call everyone a racist pedo or post about spilling the blood and Civil War! you are the enemy and 100% supporting it all. For a bit it's funny, but then when basically every "discussion" goes to that place, well ... As to the topic at hand, imo a huge step is an independent psych evaluation. Often that step is missed OR it's at the same clinics that are designed to affirm and move forward. That should be built into any policy on the topic. The right, despite blaming many things on mental illness, don't seem overly interested in funding that or talking about it and the left don't like people telling them some of these troubled kids are in fact not trans and need different care. So here we are.

Can men get pregnant. What do students at UPenn think?
BuckSwope replied to edjr's topic in The Geek Club
They cater to that group partly to keep their power and partly out of fear of the mob. Again, its one of the things I hate the most of the left today. Not much. Just like above, there's only so many different ways I can say the same thing- 50% of the time I vote 3rd party, then the rest of the votes are split between r/d. I think both parties are crap and lead by the extremes currently. I've also said that now often my vote is against crazy, so a R vote could be against some defund the police or trans in sports freak, and a D vote is against an abortion ban or stop the steal freak. It depends on the year, type of election, and type of politican running. -

BuckSwope replied to edjr's topic in The Geek Club
I don't know how many different ways to say the voters <> the politicians. I've been consistent in saying I believe both parties are governed by the extremes currently. We can both be right, and are. The reason many are unhappy with the Ds is this woke/trans stuff. It's bizarre if you support 100% of what a politician does or a party you vote for does. -
Can men get pregnant. What do students at UPenn think?
Hardcore troubadour replied to edjr's topic in The Geek Club
Trans men are men, therefore, men can get pregnant. Gender affirming care entails puberty blockers and sex change operations. That’s the problem with liberals they aren’t intellectually curious and won’t even go read it for themselves. And Biden has specifically said he supports gender affirming care. No carve out. So suck it.
