swirvenirvin 25 Posted July 19, 2005 there were 4 WR's I would that I would have been happy with I like Smith and Wayne here
JScott 20 Posted July 19, 2005 there were 4 WR's I would that I would have been happy with I like Smith and Wayne here I'm not a big Wayne fan this early. I know I'm in the minority but he's just too inconsistent. There are too many weapons on Indy. That offense just goes with the hot reciever (who the D is leaving open/single covered). Wayne has proven he has "big game" potential, but one week he's the man and the next he get 3 receptions. I do like Smith here. I think he'll get back close to 2003 numbers. Love CTT's WR picks here. I think Williams will put up numbers to justify his being picked here, but I thought he'd drop further. And to get Johnson as well. Great picks IMO.

I agree a little on Wayne, it would have depended who I had on my team already. I think Dillon, Barber and Smith are pretty consistent so I could go with Wayne here

JScott 20 Posted July 20, 2005 Not taking my #2 RB until the 4th was risky. But at my pick in the 3rd, all the teams picking between my 3rd and 4th picks already had 2 RBs each, so I didn't think too many would grab a 3rd RB. Only a few did so I was able to get one of the 2 guys I targetted Dunn or Taylor. Wheeew. I think Fred will end up with about 1500/8 again (more if he plays all 16 games) so good value IMO for a 4th round RB. I'm signing off tonight guys. Good first day

adam smitty 0 Posted July 20, 2005 Wanted to take a WR here and Boldin was a no brainer to me. Warner is the best QB hes ever played with and I expect him to come close to his rookie season stats again.
CantTouchThis 23 Posted July 20, 2005 Crap, i think my 5th round pick will be in the morning while i am dreaming about your moms. So, FantasyKing's got my list, so, i am guessing he will have to pick for me. But, if i am not here for my 6th, i probably won't sleep too late, so, just wait, probably around 1 or so. Guest Giants Rule 04 Posted July 20, 2005 Dammit, I was sure that Taylor was gonna drop to me towards the end of the 4th. I had my eyes on him for my second RB. Now I have to go with Chris "I only play every other game" Brown.
CantTouchThis 23 Posted July 20, 2005 Yeah, what is the deal with Freddy T.??? He is one player i have no idea on, i thought he was like a top 8 guy, guess not, does he have a bad injury or??? Wow, i think this is the smartest group of mockers i have ever mocked with I haven't seen a bad pick yet. Very good job guys, this is actually going relatively smoothly. Again, i will TRY and get up earlier, LOL. I actually have to go and put my application in the fast food places round here tommarrow, gotta start making the doe. JScott 20 Posted July 20, 2005 Good morning... day 2!!! I think this is where some picks are going to start drawing some ????? from others. Chris Brown at 4.09, with yesterdays news that Henry is now a Titan had me And I seem to be in the minority on this but I just don't see why everyone is so high on Boldin. Yes he has the talent, but Larry Fitzgerald was not around during Anquan's rookie year. Arizona is not going to become the Rams of the late 90s with Bruce and Holt, even with Warner at QB. After it was exposed that Warner needs time in the pocket and room to step up to throw how has he done since? And the Arizona O-line is not going to give him the protection he needs. With all these factors I don't see why Boldin is ranked so high on draft lists. I know Denny Green likes to air it out and the Cards will probably be playing from behind a lot but that's when a WR will get a lot of receptions (which don't count in our scoring system) a la Marty Booker in Chicago a few years ago, not necessarily a lot of yards or TDs. I see Boldin being the possession WR and Fitz being the deep threat with the high TD totals. I'd be interested to hear others comments on Boldin.

Yeah I dont understand the Chris Brown pick either, they apparently have no faith in him. The Boldin pick I like but it may be too early, however if you don't go early you may miss your chance because a lot of people are high on him. How soon we forget the year he had 2 years ago, last year he did decent with a crap QB.l
JScott 20 Posted July 20, 2005 How soon we forget the year he had 2 years ago, last year he did decent with a crap QB.l Two years ago, Fitz wasn't playing along side. Granted that may help free up Boldin from coverage for more looks, but I think Fitz will be the 1st target for the "jump ball" passes in the redzone. If we were getting ppr I'd like Boldin better.
