who ya got as the sleeper team in 2006?

Recommended Posts

im likin the browns in the afc, not to win the division but to to be able to compete tough, miami has a pretty good thing goin too, but i was never sold on culpepper as a championship caliber qb, but they could easily win that division. not really a sleeper, and a little homerism added, but i think philly will be back in full force next season and make a strong run in the nfc. from what i hear a lot of people are counting them out.

fire away

It's gotta be the Vikings. I mean look at what they've done:

1)Traded their franchsise quarterback and are "hoping" Brad Johnson stays healthy for 16 games

2)Signed Chester Taylor who was already like the other probable starter here(Mewelde Moore)

3)Over-paid through the nose to get a guard in Steve Hutchinson

4)Signed an under the radar linebacker in Leber who will stay right there...under the radar

Other than that why wouldn't they be the sleeper team for 2006?

I think the Titans might surprise people and steal a wild card. They still have McNair, good RBs, and a solid coach. Last year was a throw-away year and now I expect them to get back to winning.

Id like to see it...but while RBs look solid...the line was just not great at Run blocking last year. Mawae should help up the middle...but losing Hopkins and probably moving Roos there with Bell on the right side could be interesting.

Defensively this team needs help in the secondary. 2 young corners who were not good at all in coverage last year...and now losing Tank Williams this year...replace with Hope is ok...but the other safety spot is still week.

Good thing is Jacksonville is just ok...Houston still sucks.

Last year I honestly thought Arizona would make a serious push for the playoffs being that the NFC is weak. They may be able to do it this year. Though they need immediate back-up for Warner. Harrington is there for the taking or they could go after Collins. Both should be on the cheap. They can also draft Cutler or trade up for Vince Young.
