Texansfan 0 Posted April 3, 2006 My top 15 WRs. 1) Steve Smith CAR - #1 WR from wire to wire last year and adding Keyshawn will only help him 2) Marvin Harrison IND- Model of consistency. Lock for 1200 and 12 TDs every year 3) Torry Holt STL - If he and Bulger stay healthy he's consistent 4) Chad Johnson CIN - Monitor Palmer's injury status, if he's out CJ drops way down 5) TO DAL- Boom or bust pick, depends on if Parcells warms up to him or not 6) Larry Fitzgerald ARZ - Warner's favorite target. With Edge he should get open even more 7) Plaxico Burress NYG - Eli loves him and this combo will only get better. 8) Randy Moss OAK - No QB and he's clearly lost a step 9) Hines Ward PIT - Solid & consistent every year. And Big Ben improves each year.. 10) Chris Chambers MIA - Ended ON FIRE and Daunte can launch the ball (if he's healthy) 11) Reggie Wayne IND- Still the #2 option behind Marvin 12) Darrell Jackson SEA - If he's healthy the #1 WR on top scoring offense 13) Joe Horn NO - If Brees stays healthy should put up solid numbers 14) Santana Moss WAS - Will have a hard time repeating last years numbers, but still solid. 15) Andre Johnson HOU - I expect a HUGE rebound year for him and Carr! Moulds & Bush will free him up!
Rookie QB 0 Posted April 3, 2006 Extremely solid rankings. WRs are always hard to do because 10 can be top 5 material. One of the better lists I've seen so far. Excellant!
ellisonb11 0 Posted April 3, 2006 very good rankings...im not sure i like plax higher than moss though.
CA_7 0 Posted April 3, 2006 15) Andre Johnson HOU - I expect a HUGE rebound year for him and Carr! Moulds & Bush will free him up! I thought, generally if you rebound you start off somewhere good? Pretty good rankings. I like DJax to break the top 10 as long as he can stay healthy. Plax and Horn a little bit high for me but I like they fact that you took some gambles with the rankings. I probably would have put Boldin in top 15 (at least)

Moulds & Bush will free him up! I love the premise behind these rankings, especially the top 3. I would include Ward and Fitz next, giving me a very safe #1 WR. Chambers would then be my #6 having the highest upside. Then some ?'s begin, not with your rankings, but with situations involving those who round out the top 10. I would feel CJ would have to fall next as, even though Palmer is hurt, he will get his, that is why Chambers remains viable, in my opinion. Then I'd start with the value that could arise out of guys like Moss and TO. I too agree that Boldin needs to be on this list replacing Joe Horn or AJ. Nice thought starting list!!! Moulds & Bush will free him up! Take Andre Johnson off the list and put Javon Walker in his place, even unknown team and health he would be ranked above AJ. Put Boldin in for Plexico and kick Plex completely off that list. He is the definition of an inconsistent WR, and if you are like me those guys don't stay in my lineup long. U Dub 0 Posted April 4, 2006 very nice list! as said above, i think i would of added boldin to the list. i'm not sold on AJ just yet. eli could make plex a consistant wr....only time will tell. might move him down a touch.
shovelheadt 71 Posted April 4, 2006 My top 15 WRs. 4) Chad Johnson CIN - Monitor Palmer's injury status, if he's out CJ drops way down CJ's been over 1K yards the last 4 years with the following QBs: Palmer Palmer - 1st year starting Kitna Frerotte/Kitna
Portis26 0 Posted April 4, 2006 Boldin produced better numbers when both him and Fitz were healthy. Add in a RB that will demand 20 carries a game.... Boldin will have BETTER value since he most likely will be picked after Fitz
Raider 84 29 Posted April 4, 2006 Move Holt up to #1 and the rankings are right on!

Cruzer 1,995 Posted April 4, 2006 Never have, never will understand the "nice", "excellent" or "one of the better lists I've seen" sentiment in regards to stuff like this. Excellent, nice and better based on what - you're already pre-formed opinion of what you think the rankings should look like? It's not rocket science, hell just look at who did what last year and you can pretty much nail down a top 10 list. Carry on.
U Dub 0 Posted April 4, 2006 i tihnk its just something everyone says to whoever makes a list of ranking players that isn't way out to lunch.

Gephardt69 0 Posted April 4, 2006 horn sux he's old and so gay that if they made a movie about him it would win an oscar! but u don't have any bears or niners so it's a good list overall.
Zackattack 0 Posted April 4, 2006 I think R.Williams could crack that list with Martz as the O.C in detroit. We all know he has the talent and I think he does it in his magical third season. I would add Boldin also.

Moulds & Bush will free him up! WOW, thanks for the positive feedback! I tend to agree with you guys about Boldin, BUT my concern with him was that their wouldn't be enough TDs to go around in ARZ with Edge stealing alot of them now. Keep in mind last year they only had TWO rushing TDs!!!! They had 21 receiving TDs (Fitz 10, Boldin 7). So figure James to get at least 10-12, it will cut down on the passing TDs. So then it came down to Boldin vs. Fitz and I just think Fitz is a better big game option and better red zone target. And regarding Plaxico Burress. Last year he had 1200 and 7 for his FIRST year with a new team and QB. Eli developed a comfort level with him and they will only improve this year. He is their clear cut #1 and has Shockey, Barber, & Toomer to keep teams honest. I can easily see another 1200-1400 yards and 10-12 TDs. Randy Moss BARELY cracked 1000 yards and 8 TDs last year. He got less than 50 yards in 6 games and 9 games without a TD. This year his QB situation will be even WORSE! I could see bumping Joe Horn out of the top 15 for Roy Williams, depending on the QB situation in DET.

Boldin put up numbers very similar to Fitz so i'm not sure why Fitz is ranked #6 and Boldin's not even on the list. He's had 1400 yards 2 out of the last 3 seasons, that alone is enough to put him in the top 15 regardless of number of TDs. And how is Moss' QB situation worse, Brooks is actually a pretty good QB in fantasy terms. Moss put up the numbers last year when healthy.
