What's on the menu for your 2006 NFL draft party?

Recommended Posts

Appetizers

Genoa pepper salami, rolled up with small dollop of cream cheese, thin slice of jalepeno and thin slice of peppericini inside

crock pot full-o-BBQ meatballs/mini dogs

tortilla chips & home made salsa verde/home made guacamole

Main course

Trying out my new rotisserie fixture for my 36" webber...it's a collar with the rotisserie skewer, coal corrales and a drip pan (for indirect heat q-ing) - going to lightly marinate a 6 lb ribeye roast (roast of ribeye steaks) and roto cook it to medium rare perfection over live coals (gas is for phags).

dessert

Bookers single barrel 127 proof whisky

Niners picking Vernon Davis or getting really lucky and having Mario Williams slip. :ninja:

So far, pizza chili.

Depends on where we hold the draft viewing party but that can be made ahead of time and transported if necessary.

i might drive over to the casino and play some poker for the length of the draft, they have 6 TVs in the poker room and 20 mins is along time between picks. this owuld make the food the complenetary buffet....

Damon's Sports Bar & Grill. 4 big screens, bangin ribs, and big ass pitchers of beer! :shocking:

Actually, we're all gonna be playing poker and the Raiders & Niner fans in the room will be perking up every now & then...

Scooter, that sounds like the perfect draft day right there. The poker would be awesome, but I abandoned my poker game last year when they moved it to Sundays...

Chili's usually on my opening day menu. For the draft? The cupboard's a little empty, so I'm thinking it's either going to be Beer can chicken with red beans and rice...maybe some beignets for dessert since I have a TIVO.

Worst case scenario if the cupboard is really bare, spaghetti with some good old-fashioned, Italian gravy...

got a couple of internship interviews the day before, if they go well, BBQing a big steak, maybe some zuccinis. If I = the suck, then probably just going to cry on the couch.

I'll be playing 36 holes of golf so I will have to catch the draft recap later in the day. I'm only really concerned about who the Vikes pick.

I highly doubt I will actually watch more then the first hour or two....we are drinking beer, playing cards, and chatting up some trade talk in our dynasty league.

We'll have some grub (pizza, wings, etc...) but nothing like the feast Football Scooter appears to have lined up

Mom and my brother will be in town. I am sure we will hang out in the pool and watch the draft and NBA playoffs all weekend.

I am going to marinate some steaks and chicken to grill.

Fresh made chips, salsa and gauc of course.

Plenty of Hieneken light beer (great for a light beer).

Shots of Corazon and Chinaco tequila as well.

Kronic joints on the upstairs balcony as well.

DO YOU PLAY FANTASY FOOTBALL??

I guess since you're a vikes fan you'll have plenty of time to eat while they miss their pick, eh?

As for whether I play FFB, rarely in April. Nice first post, asshat.

Every year, our league has our draft lottery the same day as the NFL draft. It's the second best day pre-season. We eat, drink, play poker, watch the draft and figure out where we will all be picking in late August/early September. We also will do at least 3 mock drafts that day.

On the menu this weekend will be beer, beer, more beer, pizza and wings and oh yeah, more beer.

Mud out
