Ravens 03 0 Posted May 16, 2006 So, there are roughly 300 million US citizens. And there are approx. 100 million Mexicans. And there are 15 million illegals Mexicans in the US. That means there's 15% of Mexico's entire population in the US illegally. Does anybody find this shocking?
Strike 6,023 Posted May 16, 2006 A recent poll indicated that something like 70% of those left in Mexico would come here in a heartbeat. So there's a neverending line waiting to cross the border if we don't secure it. I also read that many in Mexico are naming their children using American names so that when they grow up and come here they'll fit in easier. WTF is up with that? But no there's no problem. Just ask edger....

Electric Mayhem 35 Posted May 16, 2006 we might as well go on the offensive and annex Mexico. i actually had that in my original post before I changed it. Once it reaches 51%, don't we just automatically GET Mexico as some kind of door prize? i wonder if there is any oil down there...

Does anybody find this shocking? 15 Million illegal immigrants in US - not necessarily Mexicans I know in our area a lot of the latin immigrants are from Guatamala and El Salvador. The latinoes come up through Mexico on their way to the US. If they are caught the say they are from Mexico so they will be deported to Mexico so they can try again instead of being deported all the way back to their home country. davebg 0 Posted May 16, 2006 Because undocumented is a more explicative To you maybe...not to me. You think that "undocumented" is better b/c it talks to the fact that these people cannot be tracked or accounted for. I think that "illegal" is better b/c it identifies them as what they are...people who are breaking the law.
torridjoe 48 Posted May 16, 2006 They are CRIMINALS!!!!!! Illegals. They're not criminals. Being here illegally isn't a crime. Some are illegal entrants, others are visa overstayers. To cover both of them, the word "undocumented" serves best. To you maybe...not to me. You think that "undocumented" is better b/c it talks to the fact that these people cannot be tracked or accounted for. Patriotsfatboy1 1,433 Posted May 16, 2006 They're not criminals. Being here illegally isn't a crime. what law is that? You can start with the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) and then move onto IIRIRA (The Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act). We have laws that govern who can be here and who cannot. If you are not adhering to those laws, then you are doing something that is prohibited by law. I would hazard to guess that is the definition of "illegal".
