cgod 0 Posted June 1, 2006 Gordon's Gourmet BBQ Greenside Grille and Tavern Gordon's Grille and BBQ Harris' BBQ on the Green Just some of the least lame ones that have popped up for me. I wish I were better at this aort of brainstorming and clever with word play and manipulation.
Ravens 03 0 Posted June 1, 2006 I would suspect that folks on the golf course are mostly wealthy and therefore you would find upscale food there. If this is the only place to eat on the course then I'd think the name isn't that huge of a thing compared to the name of the other place that is perhaps in more competition. Private club = yes Public course = No If they are looking to draw 'normal folk' there, it might be a way to link the course to a food place. I have little memories of really good food at a golf course.

I have little memories of really good food at a golf course. Must not have been to any in Cali. I've been to the Stanford Golf Course and their food at their restaurant was very good and upscale. Again prolly catering to mostly rich folks here.

Isotopes 1 Posted June 1, 2006 I thought the 18th hole is the big one? It is very common for a golf course to call their bar the 19th hole because that is where you stop after 18.

TAS 2 Posted June 1, 2006 Gordon'sthat sounds pretentious enough I agree with this. Gordon's. If the food is good, his name will become synonymous with good food. Simple is best. If steak is the primary seller, Gordon's Steak House is good too.
