I'll start with a couple off the top of my head, maybe we can get enough for a poll later.

Metallica - Orion

Pink Floyd - Any Colour You Like

Rush - YYZ

My undisputed favorite: "Walk Don't Run" - The Ventures

Followed by ...

"Surf Bat" - 45 Grave

"Courageous Cat Theme" - New York Dolls

"Time Is Tight" - The Clash

"PARTYTIME" ... featured prominently while Trash strips full frontal naked in "Return Of The Living Dead" ... original "Partytime" on the amazing "Sleep In Safety" album.

PS- Best ever stage name: 45 Grave's lead singer ~ Dinah Cancer ~

Green Onions by Booker T and the MGs

I can't top that. without going to the internet, I think that may be Steve Cropper on guitar on that track. He did a lot of Motown session work and wrote Dock of the Bay with Otis Redding.

Other instrumentals I like are Because We've Ended as Lovers - Jeff Beck and Black Napkins - Frank Zappa.
