My first thought was...how can a white guy outjump a black guy by an entire head? Then, the replay showed the ITL guy grabbing the defenders shoulder and pushing it down. Nice goal.

It looked like the guy who scored the goal was onside and the guy who didn't get the ball was offside. Either the one guy being offside is all it takes for the call, they both were offside, or the officials screwed up.

if its still tied after 5 shots, it then just goes to sudden death.

 

example. lets say after 5 PKs for each team its tied 3-3. Then lets say italy guy comes up and scores, then the french guy misses the next shot, italy wins 4-3

and by watching how the italians and french are playing so far in OT, i think they realize this. italy is just playing defense while france is trying to do all they can to score

My family are soccer fanatics. They are all somewhere in SF in front of a large screen watching this. I can only watch some of the WC, and the final.
