Sho Nuff 720 Posted July 22, 2006 stay on task: 1) do you really predict roy williams to have less stats this year than last year (re: your previous post)? 2) what do you PREDICT for the packers this year. it's easy as hell to sit here and say the jello-backed "well, so-and-so hasn't done anything yet and, gee, golly, who knows if he ever will." (nevermind for a moment your lmfao proclamation that roy "hasn't shown ANYTHING yet"). you obviously have zero faith in roy, and you think the lions wr are shiat and the lions are shiat. i just want to you to put out here right now for everyone your concrete predictions. this is the second time i'm asking. You ask...but never really give your own? And since this is about Williams and not Roy...how about some other predictions for say... Roy, Williams, Rogers, Vines, Bradford. swamp dog 0 Posted July 22, 2006 You ask...but never really give your own? And since this is about Williams and not Roy...how about some other predictions for say... Roy, Williams, Rogers, Vines, Bradford. i've said if roy williams stays healthy he'll flirt with top-5 numbers this year. what does that translate to with numbers? i don't have the top-5 lists in front of me for the past couple of years...but i think roy doing 1200-1300 and 12+ tds is very realistic having his talent and martz as his oc (again, health being a key). i've said that a couple of times in multiple threads. the #2 and #3 wrs for the lions? i don't have a clue how that will shake out yet and how the depth chart will look. nobody does. i see many making dire pronouncements. i've simply said there to let's see how this season goes before killing off mike williams. oh, btw: i wasn't asking you. swamp dog 0 Posted July 22, 2006 if the lions cut mike williams, the packers would be the first team to call, followed closely by chicago, with the vikings nipping at their heels. and remote would be doing a when the desperate packers signed mike scant minutes after he was cut. that's pretty much all you need to know about this thread. it can end now

Thus far it is too early to tell with Green Bay...but so far I love what he has done. donhaas 19 Posted July 23, 2006 if the lions cut mike williams, the packers would be the first team to call, followed closely by chicago, with the vikings nipping at their heels. This is a pretty dumb thing to say, even for you. Detroit wasted a ton of money on him and a top-10 pick; why wouldn't any of these teams give him a tryout for free? Heck, I hope the Brewers give him a try. He has to be good at something. I've never seen someone so proud that a very recent top-10 pick could be a waiver-wire pick up for a team like the Packers who just lost a pro-bowl receiver. But that is the pysche of a Lions fan. But a mess? Not really. Id say a mess would be having your first round pick from last year only being around because it is too expensive to cut him. Your number 2 WR who they may be gaga over right now...who has disappointed thus far in his career and is a toke away from taking a year off. And a few castoffs who have never shown much of anything (Bradford and Vines). But again...is this thread about the Lions? Or the Packers? Do you actually believe what you type or do you just resort to anything when backed into a corner? If he was released, several teams would look into signing him to a league minimum, incentive based deal with a quick escape route. The Bears have no more interest in fatty anymore than the rest of the teams do. Mybe he could beat out Des Clark at TE if he learned to block.
