Buffettguy77 0 Posted July 30, 2006 I just ordered it for Direct TV....I already have the Sunday Ticket, but it's extra for the Super Fan to get HD games other then my locals and ESPN games. For those of you with HD, would you say it enhances your enjoyment of watching the games a lot? A little? I'm trying to figure out if I should get the Super Fan. Shakespeare 0 Posted July 30, 2006 I never cared about or wanted HD until I spent a playoff weekend at my Dad's place. 60" Plasma + HD NFL = Football Nirvana. It's impossible to go back once you've spent a few days with it.
bjlmonster 0 Posted July 30, 2006 Yeah, it is the best. I dropped NFL ticket, because I wasn't going to continue to pony up extra cash for the HD and I wasn't going to pony up for NFL ticket and not have HD. Bottom line, I will put my saved money to a lifetime Sirius sattelite radio subscription and go watch my buddies NFL Ticket when I can.

joefry 0 Posted July 30, 2006 Any HD is better than regular, but with sports the difference is much more pronounced. Also, many of vthe broadcasts are in 5.1 for those of you with a booming system.
plasma george 63 Posted July 30, 2006 Any HD is better than regular, but with sports the difference is much more pronounced. Also, many of vthe broadcasts are in 5.1 for those of you with a booming system. What does a booming 5.1 system do for the NFL ? Explosions and effects during the commercials is about it. Crisp details, lifelike colors, and 16:9 widescreen means more of the field action. (downfield blockers, defensive backfield, WR routes) NFLHD is exactly why I bought all this sh!t. What's scarey is how high they make the price for the HD games, and I'd still pay it.

LSUtiger 9 Posted July 30, 2006 I have a weird question - I just got Sunday ticket for Direct TV. I have the HD programming/box, etc. but do the Sunday ticket games broadcast in HD or is it just my local channels, ESPN, etc.? Thanks in advance...
PackYourNut 47 Posted July 30, 2006 Yes, most games are HD...
Texansfan 0 Posted July 30, 2006 HD is so clear, last year was watching a Packers game and after Samkon Gado fumbled they showed him on the sidelines and you could CLEARLY see a nice BIG booger hanging from his nose. My buddies and I still laugh about that today. Other than that you can see the holes in the jerseys, the individual blades of grass, cold breath, so YES it is THAT much better!
