What do you usually cook? If you just do grill stuff all the time, then salt and pepper plus oil and an acid of some sort (vinegar, wine, citrus fruit, or any combo of the previous) makes a good marinade for pretty much anything (including veggies).

 

If you like garlic, get the stuff that comes pre-chopped in jars and keep it in your fridge.

 

If you grill a lot of fish/seafood, i'd highly recommend getting some Old Bay seasoning.
