hotgumbo1 12 Posted August 31, 2006 And just freakin goes nuts this season by the tuna of 1200/11-12 TDs? Do the you people who stole him in the 3rd and early 4th. It be Xmas early. Got my fingers crossed like a pretzel.
PackYourNut 47 Posted August 31, 2006 If all goes well, it will be more like 1200+ and 15+TD's... That's a big IF though...
rebooters 1 Posted August 31, 2006 If all goes well, it will be more like 1200+ and 15+TD's... That's a big IF though... god i hope so. i hate all the hype on this guy. everyone is complaining how TO does this and that, who cares? i for one really could care less if he has him mom wipe his arse and cry himself to sleep at night, or if he practices, or if he lies about his hammy, or if he is just lazy or whatever. its to the point where i really just hope he kills it this year to prove all these genious's wrong. my opinion is still the same since he got his way onto a team this year(doesnt matter if its the cowgirls or not)...he will play, he will do very well, he could be the difference in this team winning their division and then some. not a cowboys fan, but i think TO is just the guy they need to get an NFC title and superbowl appearance. football_scooter 0 Posted August 31, 2006 he could easily have 1100/16 if things are smarmy in Dallas. I'm not sold on the yardage, but he is Dallas best chance to score in the red zone every time. And Glenn's preseason will only help Owens.
hotgumbo1 12 Posted August 31, 2006 now granted he had McNabb and his scrambling feet tossing to him but man the plays he made two years ago and last year was a thing of sure beauty. Especially in 2004 where everytime he got the ball, it was a good chance for 6points. Last season, I had Holt and Owens and man I was blowing away my competition on a weekly basis. Got the tandem again this year and like I said, fingers crossed like a stale pretzel.
Natural Lights 0 Posted August 31, 2006 Let me preface this remark with the fact that I have never liked Owens and that it is my sincere wish that this rat does not ever win a championship. All of that being said I believe he is on a mission to prove everyone wrong, and I believe he will. I was one of the Patriot homers who said there was no way he would make an impact in the superbowl, and that he was a selfish SOB for even playing, and then I witnessed arguably one of the greatest superbowl performances of all time. I believe. This injury may be the golden key to a great draft.
Ilov80s 0 Posted August 31, 2006 Parcells handled Keyshawn. Parcells is a genius at motivating his players. He knows how to handle TO. Treat him like just another player, ignore everything the media says, and flat out squash TO. Don't let his name be spoke an don't ever speak his name. That makes TO hungry for the one thing he truley craves: attention. Starve him for attention all week and then feed him on Sunday. If TO wants attention, then he has to make plays every Sunday. Pure genius. No way on earth TO can out manuverse Parcells with his mind games. Its the other way around. Glenn looks good for 2 weeks and all of sudden we here TO is back in practice. Hmmm... Also, I am drunk.

football_scooter 0 Posted August 31, 2006 T.O. Highlights awesome reel...I love that they have him doing the Ray Lewis...that, IMO, was the best celebration of all time. That uncoordinated "elaine boozler of the NFL" celebration - you know that took WORK. What I really love though is that those place are all within the last 2 years. I was afraid this would be older footage...Niners and whatnot. I expect a similar reel to this after a season in Dallas. And his schedule is nice too...games against Houston, AZ, Indy, NYG, and you know he'll be hungry to show up Philly on October 8th. And a MNF against the Giants in what should be a HUGE divisional game. That could be huge - Oh, then his playoff schedule for FFB is New Orleans, Atlanta and Philly. NO sucks, Atlanta's great against the run, but not as good in the secondary and week 16 at home against Philly? Man - that could be an epic game for a fantasy championship. Because once again, for TO beating Philly will be some kind of motivation. Uh, if they don't kill him. lol man.
Perennial Contender 18 Posted August 31, 2006 I took him in the 3rd round 3.3 and am happy with it. Same exact spot I got him. And I am very happy about it. Big year coming from the best WR in the NFL. Don't like him, don't like the Cowboys, but I love TO on my Fantasy team. He's a freaking beast.
Giants Fan 85 Posted August 31, 2006 You know Parcels is thinking ... "Just don't fock up my getting into the HOF." I dunno if T.O. is ready for it ... I don't think Terry Glenn was ready for it when Parcels publicly refered to him as a "she", but Glenn is back working for Parcels. So ... I kinda think you are gonna see the same kinda treatment towards T.O. and we'll see how he reacts. I suspect he'll get suspended at some point.
football_scooter 0 Posted August 31, 2006 I suspect he'll get suspended at some point. I keep hearing this. why would he?
keeptwo 0 Posted August 31, 2006 Bledsoe see's both Glenn and TO headed towards the endzone, knows he can hit Glenn ala built up chemistry but thinks Parcels wants to see justification on the gamble and the hugh contract.Drew spots a linebacker coming from the left and slings it 55 yards to Owens...Touchdown! Marion Barber proceeds to score a two point conversion.Sweet, two guys on my roster both put up points in 2 plays. That's my story and i'm stickin to it. Leonard Henry -2 Yds 0 Posted August 31, 2006 genious's I own T.O. and drafted him 1.11, but I think you've made the bigger mistake here Bledsoe see's both Glenn and TO headed towards the endzone, knows he can hit Glenn ala built up chemistry but thinks Parcels wants to see justification on the gamble and the hugh contract. J-Money 4 Posted August 31, 2006 Do the you people who stole him in the 3rd and early 4th. I got the # 1 pick in my draft drafting monday (sept. 4th) and never expected him to drop to me...with all the news recent news i'd almost expect him to drop to me except most everyone in my league uses magazines which quite possibly were printed before last month If he does drop to me i'll take him at the 20/21 split i end up with. when he plays he's too good to pass up at that point. it's not like a serious knee injury a la DD
Giants Fan 85 Posted August 31, 2006 More importantly, Glenn and Tuna have a relationship, that was rocky at first ... but he's been there, and through a few teams, and Bill loves him, T.O. is the new guy. He's gotta get past the Tuna jedi-mind trick. If I know Parcells, that makes Glenn the #1 WR, until T.O. proves otherwise.
Vince44 205 Posted August 31, 2006 TO will be a Top 1-3 WR this year, he will be starting in Week One and as long as Bledsoe is protected we will see TO have a monster season.
cyeaser 3 Posted August 31, 2006 ok ok ok...we all know T.O. is an AZZHOLE............ first off i drafted him in one of my leagues. that being said, if you can get first round talent in the 3rd or 4th round whos more of the azzhole..you or him???????? people who dont think the media has and will continue to make a circus out the whole T.O. situation are just blind..after week 1 or week 2 when he has a 7 catch 2td game..the media will be all over his jock, saying how parcells calmed him down. you just want to talk about his character, and all that.. heres my question.....what has he done OUTSIDE of football to make you soo down on him. just curious. THIS IS FANTASY FOOTBALL....we try to win, best players and the best value..am i wrong???? so if T.O. doesnt say a word, doesnt talk to the media, do you take him ahead of every other wideout in the league...OF COURSE YOU DO... the only thing im sorry about is i only got him in 1 a league....i wish i had him in all my leagues.....just my 2 cents
NewbieJr 541 Posted August 31, 2006 He'll either be a monster and have 1300 yd/13 TD numbers or have an implosion and end up not playing half the games for some reason. Those who spent a second or third round pick on him are either going to have a great year or will be scrambling to make up for a wasted pick. We all knew that risk at the draft. cyeaser 3 Posted August 31, 2006 ok just for the sake of arguing... lets say week 7 he gets suspended........fock it for the year....if my team is 6-1 . what more could i want.... ill pick up a free agent...what difference is that opposed to if your 3rd round average rb get hurts for the year, you hit the waiver wire.. JUST EVERYBODY STOP BEING MAD YOU DIDNT DRAFT HIM.....buy a new cyrstal ball and hope for next year...and everyone thanks for letting him slip down... Parja 0 Posted August 31, 2006 There's nothing wrong with TO's hammy. He just doesn't want to practice. And considering he's in better shape than, well, the WHOLE NFL, and could probably catch passes and get crazy YAC in his sleep, it doesn't matter. He'll be ready to go week 1 and will show everyone why the Cowboys are willing to put up with his antics...at least until next year.

There's definitely a couple of games where that secondary is going to be eaten alive by T.O. and Glenn. Though a fan, Mike McKenzie has lost his step and was just shredded by Terry Glenn in last week's game. It was painful to watch.

football_scooter 0 Posted August 31, 2006 Parcells has never, ever, had a 1200 yd receiver. carry on. 2nd time this has been said in this topic. Parcells has never had a receiver with the ability of Owens. If this is your best argument against TO having a huge FFB season, them you're an absolute schmuck. "carry on", schmuck. Ilov80s 0 Posted August 31, 2006 as long as Bledsoe is protected we will see TO have a monster season. I don't agree with that. Romo has looked great and he is likely more then capable of feeding TO. I might even expect him to look to TO more then Bledsoe would. Drew being a veteran might be more capable of spreading the ball around. My only real concern with TO is that the 2 Qbs he had success with were both scramblers and could buy extra time by moving around in the pocket and moving out of the pocket. That is not Bledsoe's game. Does that have an impact?
RLLD 4,230 Posted August 31, 2006 TO should have a monster season even if Parcells hates him. The big thing will be how long it takes him to start ripping Bledsoe. Once that starts everything else will follow.... lower production with fewer balls going his way, less playing time as Parcells asserts his authority. Hell, may even being benched again....
