Where do you get your news?

Recommended Posts

I hate our media. They screwed us over...time and time again...by giving a free pass to this administration. Media consolation makes the media more corporate...more biased to that point of view. I like independent news sources...free of slant and corporate spin.

BBC International: http://news.bbc.co.uk/

Buzzflash: http://www.buzzflash.com/

Common Dreams: http://www.commondreams.org/

Crooks and Liars: http://www.crooksandliars.com/

MyDD: http://www.mydd.com/

I ask...where do you get your news?

People like me tell the truth...but I can't say that for everyone here.

All my news comes from this bored. I found out, just within the last two days, that 95% of the world hates Bush and that he's killed 25 million innocent people. I've never heard either of those figures on any newscast, neocon or not, so this bored must be the best source of news EVAH

On TV, I watch PBS, the Jim Lehrer show. When they have outside commentary on an issue, they almost always provide opposing views.

The network shows are corrupted, but i make an exception for one news guy: Bob Schieffer on CBS.

Newspapers are more problematic, I don't know of one that gives balanced coverage. You can find opposing views in separate papers but I haven't found any balance in one single paper. So i suspect whatever i read is loaded.

The BBC gives a somewhat interesting slant from abroad but i find them exactly that: slanted, slanted against the fearsome tyrant across the Atlantic, ya know, the one that has underwritten their liberty since 1950.

So, leave me to my News Hour, and turn down the noise from the corporate boardrooms.

On newspaper: The Orlando Sentinel

I don't seek the news. The news seeks me. In other words, if Mohammad can't go to the mountain, let the mountain come to Mohammad. Then Mohammad blows up the moutain with a nuclear device.
