wiffleball 4,797 Posted March 6, 2007 Gotta love these urban warriors who go out and buy a $70,000 urban assault vehicle with super dooper shocks, 25 inches of ground clearance, reinforced struts, reinforced undercarriage and about eleventy-thousand other things allowing this monstrosity to travel over the harshest terrain. ...And these fockers slow down to 1 mph and take 15 minutes to clear a 2 inch speed bump. Just DRIVE OVER the GD thing ASHHOLE! With your suspension system you'll barely feel it. You make it ten times worse on you, your passenger and the people behind you by slowly rocking back and forth like you're trying to scale the focking Sears tower. That is all. RLLD 4,282 Posted March 6, 2007 I love it during the winter storms when you see SUV after SUV all torn up along the road......people who drive an SUV might be even more stupid than cigarette smokers...
Mungwater 601 Posted March 6, 2007 when we get a good downfall here it usually floods. I can't tell you how many SUVs I've seen flooded out because people think they can go through it.

wiffleball 4,797 Posted March 6, 2007 I love it during the winter storms when you see SUV after SUV all torn up along the road......people who drive an SUV might be even more stupid than cigarette smokers... Used to be one of the simple satisfactions of my live in Colorado. I'd be putting alogn with the rest of the natives in our two-wheel drive cars doing a safe speed limit. - And some jagoff from Texas or Cali would come screaming by in his brand new 4wd. ...And 2-3 miles later, you'd see this idiot wiped out in the median ...And we'd proceed on our merry way... Apparently, they don't teach Texans or Californicators that just because 4wd helps propel you quicker on the ice and snow..... It doesn't do jack shiit when you gotta stop. GobbleDog 1,018 Posted March 6, 2007 Icy roads make me nervous. I've lived in Florida long enough to know my limitations.
Bier Meister 1,773 Posted March 6, 2007 for 5 years my daily commute was from breckenridge to vail (rwd)...... and i was usually coming back around 11p, 12a, 1a...... strong majority of vehicles on the side of the road are suv/4x4.
D'ohmer Simpson 0 Posted March 6, 2007 4wd helps propel you quicker on the ice and snow..... If ice is under all 4 wheels, it ain't gonna help propel you much either. But in the right circumstances, it is the shiznit.
DuckStupid 40 Posted March 6, 2007 If ice is under all 4 wheels, it ain't gonna help propel you much either. But in the right circumstances, it is the shiznit. Only thing 4wd does is keeps you going in the path you want to go (unless you oversteer). It's to idiots who think they can turn on a dime or stop on the ice like they can on dry pavement, that you see along the side of the road. Leave a safe distance.
