Well, Tool was on my short list, but I believe Undertow was already taken, and that was the one of their albums I'd want on the desert Isle, so I'll letcha have it.

 

I'm going with something modern and recent...one of, if not THE best metal album I've heard in a decade,

This is an increadible effort by a young band - love the sound, style, melody, lyrics and the sometimes bizarre time signatures of their songs, but through it all this album ROCKS.

hey scoot - aenima was taken, not undertow.

 

 

Ah well - you people are insane, because Undertow blows those other two out of the water....I saw them on that tour in a tiny club (+/- 200 people) and they were amazing.

 

But my pick stands - I'll keep Mastodon on my roster. I think it's a strong pick and I love the CD. It may even be the newest album selected by any team.

we each get say 3 comedies, 3 dramas, 3 horrors, 3 action, 3 adventrue etc...

That way each person would have a list of 15-20 (21 if you use 3's) well rounded lists.

I was torn in so many direction in what album to take here. Only 15 rounds. I eventually settled for this album, on the strength of the singles. Monkey Wrench is nice uptempo song. Everlong might be my favorite song of all time.

"In 1986 while playing a show at the Paramus Roller Rink (with rock gods Trixter) I think it was a Battle-O-The-Bands, well anyway, someone from Torrid Records saw us. Some weeks later we signed a deal. Basically we did this record as we were graduating high school. When looking back at this CD I can only say one thing - everyone's gotta start somewhere."
