DBZFan2K 0 Posted March 16, 2007 I avoided Winthrop because way too many of the talking heads had them as their trendy upset pick. I guess it makes sense though... Top 25 and ranked as a 11 seed. I'm just glad I didn't have ND getting past round 2.
JT 137 Posted March 16, 2007 I avoided Winthrop because way too many of the talking heads had them as their trendy upset pick. I guess it makes sense though... Top 25 and ranked as a 11 seed. I'm just glad I didn't have ND getting past round 2. I was a big ND tout coming into the tourney. Had them winning twice. That drought they hit to start the second half was just too much to overcome. Hey, I haven't been listening to the Wisc-TxAMCC game. Is the Daniels kid from TXAMCC related to the old pro, Mel Daniels? Bears more than a passing resemblance. ETA: Guess not. Just read his bio. t.j 35 Posted March 16, 2007 Pretty much Winthrop and VCU are the only upsets so far, and those were fairly popular upset picks. No huge surprises so far.

JT 137 Posted March 16, 2007 If that #5 from Wisconsin, Jason "First Lady Of The American Theatre" Chappell was on Duke, he'd be the most hated player in the country. What a flopper! He goes down more willingly than that Antonella chaick from American Idol.

nobody 2,884 Posted March 16, 2007 I think Duke's going to rethink it's strategy of recruiting guys that will play 4 years for them. Also how did Wisconsin score 57 points in 1 half when they barely can score 57 points in full games?

Fumbleweed 555 Posted March 17, 2007 Refs really swallowed the whistle at the end of that Illinois-Va. Tech game....I thought Illinois really got the shaft. Two bad hacks not called in the final 15 seconds. Illinois got jobbed But since I was so undecided on this matchup until the last minute, I'm convinced they would've won had I picked Va Tech. Agreed. Worst officiating I've seen so far in what has otherwise been a pretty good tourney for officials by most accounts.
DBZFan2K 0 Posted March 17, 2007 The biggest upset in this NCAA tournament is probably the lack of upsets. Basically just VCU and Winthrop. 9-seeds don't count.

It was bad, but it wasn't just against Illinois. Don't forget Washington taking a blatant elbow, then getting called for an intentional foul when he tripped over an Illini players seconds later. Wow, Kentucky is almost a parody of itself now. How do you put out the WRONG STARTING LINEUP?
